Shoot first and ask questions later. I've lost count of how many times we've lost someone we were chasing because someone insisted on getting answers first.
You might be right; maybe that's a little too direct. That's what I wish I could take as a resolution, I guess.
Answering more questions than I raise anew would be a good one, too... no, still too loose. I guess my resolution is to make friends this year. I'm still not really a people person yet.
The idea then is to find a challenging goal that I can know how to achieve. Something like "practice self-control" is vague and hard to quantify. When a writer wants to write more, they challenge themselves to write a certain number of words a day, and at the end of the day they know if they have or have not lived up to what they set out to do.
