We did it! The Lights of Orion chose us! Now, we've got more than enough power to defend Terra Venture from Scorpius.

...I have to admit that I feel bad for Magna Defender, though. I know, the last time I posted, I was screaming about him. But since then, we learned that he's this way because Scorpius killed his son, and he wants revenge. I'm glad that he can't get it, since he's gone way too far. But I hope this can help him find some peace. Maybe losing the Lights will give him some perspective.

Magna Defender? Is he someone you've faced as an enemy in the past?

Somewhat. It's hard to explain, and harder for me to understand. We both have Scorpius as an enemy, so he'll help us out from time to time. But that's only if it benefits him. He's perfectly willing to fight us otherwise. He's not quite our enemy, but he's definitely not our friend either.

It is a shame that the loss of his son drove him to become what he is. But revenge can be a powerful motivator, for good or ill.

Powerful is right, but definitely for ill. From the sound of it, he used to be a hero. But now, he doesn't mind if innocent civilians--even children--are in the crossfire. He's completely lost sight of what he's fighting for.

Loss can easily wreak such changes on people, even heroes.

Yet you think there is a chance for him to find peace, still?

We've tried, but he tends to prefer shooting.

While I can understand his feelings, he definitely wasn't going about things in the right way. Revenge wouldn't have solved anything, anyway.

But congratulations. I'm guessing these Lights are very important?

That's the way I feel too.

There have been some dangerous people searching for them for 3000 years. They gave us amazing power, though it looks like we might only be able to use them when we're all together.

Then it's good that you managed to obtain them, rather than someone else. Even with a limitation on the power, I'm sure it will be very helpful.

It's much better than the alternative, that's for sure. I'd rather have us unable to use them when separate than let one dangerous person keep the Lights together.

Sorry. Basically, two sides have been looking for the Lights, a source of great power. There's our enemy, Scorpius, and then there's the Magna Defender--he's definitely not neutral, but he's not our enemy or our ally. He's on his own side and will attack whoever he feels like that day. So it's a relief that the Lights are safe from the both of them.
