Is this how you work it? I really need some-oh, it's on! Great! It was getting frustrating after a while, but it...looks like the video on this thing is working.

[And so the face of a spikey-haired boy comes into view, his face showing signs of excitement.]

Ciaossu! Listen, there's a problem here. See, this place keeps on popping up on my computer, and I've tried several times to make it go away. But, it just won't! I really don't know what to think about it.

Anyways, it's really starting to clog up my computer by this point, and I'm wondering if there is any way to just make it go away. What is this place supposed to be, some sort of...social network site? This is all sounding way too familiar with what Natsume-san does.

...oh, right! I forgot about it. Ahem, my name is Souhei Sasahara, but my friends call me "Sasayan", so feel free to call me that. If you have any idea on how to help me, please let me know! If it doesn't go away then... [A bit of despair seemed to flash on his face at that point, quickly replaced by his usual grin.] Thanks, you've been helpful!

If there were, they wouldn't be hanging around your head. Can you show underneath your bed? If there are brownies in your room, they probably got stuck in there on accident. [ She nods, smiling a little shyly. ] Even the ones who do have diets like that can be friendly, though, so please don't think that they're monsters.

[ This guy really is too friendly to her though. It's not a bad thing, it's just.. not what she expects. She does question it a little bit, especially since he's not questioning her about fairies like everyone does even if she can find ways to provide proof. Is he trying to trick her..? ]

Under my bed? [He shrugs, lifting up his webcam and placing it right under his bed.] I would see why they would get stuck under there, though. I don't even know what's under there myself! [A little laugh, followed by a tilt of his head.] ...So despite eating people, they still want to talk to them? Man, that takes talking to your food to a whole new level...

I must admit, I do miss the quiet sometimes. I've been unexpectedly traveling lately.

I dunno about either of those, I would have to go downstairs to actually check it out. Give me one sec... [A small sigh. If he had lemons in his room, it would be really weird. In any case, he runs downstairs, and comes back, a sliced lemon in one hand, and a glass of water in the other.] What do I do now?

Traveling, huh? What exactly are you doing, traveling to see different things and such?

Squeeze about half of the lemon into the glass of water, then drop single drops to make a trail of the lemon-water across the floor to your door, fairly slowly. It's like a trail of bread crumbs to lure birds, except this attracts brownies.

Originally I was going to see my father in London, then I got kidnapped, followed by a second kidnapping away from the first kidnapper. Now I'm being paid to help retrieve a sword guarded by the merrow.

[This is strange enough as it is, but he decides to go along with it. Doing as she says, he's already in the process of dropping the lemon-water across his floor. He can't help, but feel this is all really, really silly. Why is he doing this again...?] Alright, there. I guess I'll...wait, then. [He plops himself on the floor.]

...W-Wait a second, you were kidnapped?! And you don't seem phased by it at all...are you sure you're ok? [Ok in the head is what he meant, but he didn't want to come off as rude.] ...My, you must have a crazy life...

He's following you, just make sure there's enough room to get out the doors. About 15 centimeters should be enough.

I'm better now. It was quite some time ago. [ There was a lot of freaking out then, especially since she was pretty convinced Edgar was a serial killer arsonist too. ] Besides, it's a large paycheck and someone has to make sure it doesn't fall into the wrong hands.

...To get out the doors? [That statement puzzled him. But...it's good to know she at least saw this thing in his room? Ah, he shrugged once more, and allowed those fifteen centimeters.] How big are these brownies, anyways?

Ah, well, I would have imagined that it would have been traumatizing for someone like you to be kidnapped. You seem awfully kind as it is. [Or so he thinks so far. Who knows, maybe she has a dual personality? Ah, Sasayan, stop thinking these things.] ...the wrong hands?

They're fairly small, but portly and about.. [ She shows him with her hands, about the size of a garden gnome. ] that large, with scrunched faces.

Well, I have Nico with me and Edgar has been.. much kinder than the other individual after my expertise. He wasn't the one chasing me with a battleship, after all. [ No dual personality or anything, alas. She's just... too kind to leave Edgar even though she had a chance. ] It's a special sword that indicates nobility and would give the owner, if obtained, rights to land in the fairy world as well as kinship to the king in this world and recognition as the Blue Knight Earl.

Wow, that's not big at all! I was actually expecting them to be the size of a mouse, but...eh. Too bad I can't see them myself...

[Wow, from the sound of it, her world must be totally bonkers.] Nico and Edgar? Are those your friends from your world, or are they escort of sorts? [A sword that'll make the user a king? Sounds like a fairy tale, already.] ...man, that really is nuts, I'm glad I'm here in simpler times...

Fairies vary in size and shape, just as earthly creatures do.

Nico is a friend of mine, he's a fairy cat. Edgar is the man I'm traveling with who employed me. [ Just kinship with one! Not the actual king.. ] It was simple until very recently.

[Now he's getting the vision of a fairy being about as big as a bear.] So they're not that different from anything on this Earth, huh? That's actually pretty cool. You really do have a cool job!

...A fairy cat. [Something about that just seems off.] Eh? You mean with kidnapping?

Some things can be quite similar, of course. I have a.. [ Should she call him a friend? He's kind of...

Well, okay, maybe her life wasn't totally normal before she got kidnapped. Let's just leave it at that for now. ] I know a Kelpie, who is actually an aquatic horse. He can appear as a human to some people as well, of course, since he's a somewhat strong fairy with a need to lure people in.

Yes, Nico's a fairy cat. You should be able to see him though. [ It's easy for her to turn a book around to show a cat, sitting like a human and looking like he's chiding Lydia for something, even moving his mouth like words instead of meows. Of course, it doesn't sound like anything to someone who isn't a fairy doctor.. ] Don't worry, Nico, it's fine. [ She turns it around. ] Yes, around that time.

[Her world sure is getting stranger and stranger. Of course, the image of an aquatic horse just gives him the image of a large seahorse, which made him chuckle.] Ah, it'd be fun to ride that Kelpie underwater, then, assuming you have the potential to breathe under there! [That last part made him a bit uneasy.] ...does this one actually eat people, too?

[At first, he was going to say how cute the cat was, until noting how it was sitting like a human and actually moving his mouth like that. This made Sasayan jump back a bit.] How in the world is he doing that?! [Seeing is believing with him, after all.] Now I'm convinced that weird things do happen from where you're from!

[He started to rub his head in confusion.] ...So this is normal to you, the cat?

If it's in the fairy world, it's possible, but he can run on land as well. He is a horse, after all. Though he enjoys it when I ride him far more than necessary. [ She nods, not looking entirely satisfied with that. ] It's his diet though, so it can't be helped. He tends toward other types of meat around me, at least.

[ Waiiit.. ] You didn't believe me before?

[Wow. And he thought he had it bad with all the problems he had to deal with. Still, the thought of an land/aquatic horse-fairy hybrid thing made the tale all the more interesting. Although, that last part did raise some objective statements from this boy.] Wait, you watch the guy actually eat other humans around you? [...that's what he got out of it, at least.

[...uh oh. Cheese it, Sasayan!] Well, I wasn't entirely convinced yet, you know, clouds of doubt sort of deal. But now, I can say that I'm on your side!

Of course not! He wouldn't do that around me, like I said. I said he tends toward other meats, like what humans eat. He doesn't have to eat humans, so he doesn't around me. [ She sounds a little horrified at the idea. ]

[ Of course, she's already convinced that he definitely didn't believe her. Edgar still doesn't believe her sometimes. He says that her world is simply broader than the way he sees things, but she still doesn't think he even believes in them despite that he hired her. The look on her face makes it obvious that she doesn't necessarily buy his sudden enthusiasm. ] I appreciate it.

Oh, looks like I got the wrong idea there. I was under the impression that he just solely ate humans, as creepy as that sounds. Maybe there's still a lot that I need to learn... [That, and how to get a better grasp on things.

...well now does he feel like an ass. This girl has been nothing, but nice to him so far, and he can tell by the expression on her face that she wasn't buying anything he said by this point. I don't think I'd be able to get along with someone who went around snacking on my neighbors. [ No matter how charming he is. ]

It's alright. [ Lydia smiles a moment later. ] I'm used to that sort of thing, so don't worry about it.

You got that right. I think I would probably just...chuck something at him first, then run away. I'm not one to actually fight someone; I've never been in a fight before!

...You sure? You seemed pretty down about it earlier.

I think the closest I've come to being in a fight was biting someone's hand or slapping Edgar, so that makes two of us.

Like I said, I'm used to it so I was a little excited when you said you actually believed me. It's not your fault, don't worry!

Eh? You bit someone before? Well, that's definitely a step up from me. I really don't fancy fights, in the first place. I'm more of those observer types, you know? It helps me better understand what's going on.

[Way to bring someone's hopes up just to crush it, Sasayan.] Aw, really? Sorry for making you excited, then. I feel like I have to make it up to you, somehow...

During a third kidnapping attempt by the first kidnapper. [ HER LIFE IS COMPLICATED OKAY!! ] I'd rather not get involved in these things to begin with, but it's a little late for that. What do you do anyway?

You attend an actual school? I learned how to read and write from my father, but you must be wealthy to go to a school. I've never been to a baseball game, but I've heard a bit about it from my father. Is it fun?
