Hey all!
Just a quick question, while I have time.
If you were going to hire someone to transport something, what qualities would you like them to have, and what would you want to move?
Magic, enemies, weight, none of that matters. Just the best service!

What do you think are the best professional attributes to show clients? And what do you look for in partners (if you have any)?

I've never had a partner, though. I'm not sure it's my... thing. I'm good at working alone, and considering a lot of my jobs aren't exactly legal, it's also easier that way.

In my world most of the transport jobs are illegal, but there are too many enemies to trust some of the more dangerous items to a single messenger. I can't think of how many times Jackal or Maruma has saved my back - and the job. But there are definitely a bunch of the lower level's who can work alone.

I see. Since I can't be killed like a human, I suppose that the only thing in danger for me is the cargo - but I've never delivered damaged goods before. My motorcycle and I are very versatile.

I can say that they are quite likely not to trust you, if you do not appear to trust them.

Like my job - I move stuff around for people. Usually its corporate espionage or illicit substances, but it can be a lot stranger stuff too.

In my case, primarily, the transportation of people - willingly - from one world to another. This is primarily a matter of evacuation; speed would be the most paramount factor here.
There is a potential secondary case; the transportation of certain hazardous artefacts; but I would prefer to handle that personally in the event said transportation cannot be avoided.
Are you speaking on the behalf of an existing company, may I ask?
Re: voice
I rarely transport people, but how much does their comfort figure into your transportation work?
For a lot of my jobs the clients don't tell us what we're transporting - would you feel comfortable with that, knowing that the item could be a dangerous artifact?
As for the company - most Transporters - and others in my line of work like Retrievers, Protectors and Negotiators - are individual agents which are then hired into teams for specific jobs. So I'm only asking for my own benefit, not for any of my partners.

With the artefacts, I would consider it highly important; it's paramount that people understand the risks involved. In my case the issue is slightly complicated; they can only be made safe by specific individuals from my homeworld; hence, losing them in another would spell disaster. The will, regrettably, multiply if left unchecked. For obvious reasons, I would prefer not to transport them anywhere if at all possible. I have no reason to either at the moment, so the issue is beside the point.
Re: voice
I see. So you can dictate your terms pretty easily, because its not as if someone else could replace you.

Ah... I am not a transporter myself; I was specifying what I personally may need a transporter for. Due to various circumstances I am not particularly in a position to do it myself.
