If anything she looks completely exhausted; slumped at a table with several stained cups of coffee with that distinctly frazzled, crumpled look of someone who hasn't had any sleep in the last 24 hours. That idiot version of her has managed to create a complete and utter mess for... herself... and urgh things had been going so well. Or at least, mostly according to plan.

There's a complication. If viruses can affect how we think, it is entirely possible that one could cause you to make a wish.

[ she deflates a little, biting her lip. the thing is, she can't be sure that that hasn't happened already; she remembers most of the viruses she's been affected by, but she has a feeling she wouldn't remember one that would have cause her to make a wish. and in any case, if it had happened... Homura probably would have reset the timeline as soon as it did, anyway. ]

...I suppose there's little we can do about it save keep our guard for such events in the future.

... What do you know about something called Walpurgisnight? It's just - it was written in my notebook when Diarmuid-san sent it to me, along with a date, but there wasn't anything else explaining it. All I found when I googled it was that it's some kind of European festival, but I don't think that's what I was referring to when I wrote that.

...It's a specific, rather infamous Witch. Why do you ask?

A Witch... mm, I guess that makes sense, huh. It's just, the thing is, the date that I wrote next to the name is the date that everything always resets, as far as I can tell. I can't know for sure since I never remember anything clearly enough, or even at all, but... I guess I was just thinking that whatever this Walpurgisnight is, it must be part of the key to everything that's happening.

Being a Witch, it's intelligence is as rabid as any other; I would hardly consider it capable of plotting beyond animalistic ambushes, but something as powerful as Walpurgisnacht is rumoured hardly requires such things.

As a preliminary theory; Walpurgisnacht comes to Mitakihara. There, either its presence kills you or forces you to contract, thus Miss Akemi resets.
