[Community, you are looking at... oh, what was that new Precure's name, the one with the long golden hair that saved Hayate a few weeks back? Cure Sunshine, wasn't it? Anyway, you're seeing her apparently training. Her long hair flows out behind her as she hops from point to point, and at one point skims across a pond as if skating on it. She makes various twists and turns that would make a normal person sick, and throws out punches and kicks from time to time, plus the occasional massive sunflower-shaped shield.

And all the while, there's a huge smile on her face; like she hasn't felt this alive in months. Which, truth be told, she hasn't. So she pinballs about with glee.

Several minutes of this pass before Itsuki sighs and sits down, looking in a nearby window at her still-transformed reflection, breathing hard.]

I didn't think it would be this tiring... but I didn't think this would be so exhilarating, either. Or that my costume would be so revealing... I wonder if there's something better I can be doing to train, though. I want to practice some more...

[Itsuki can't help but smile at the image of Tsubomi in the mirror, even if it means she's being recorded, which... she's not horribly against, now that she thinks about it. That said, she can't help but poke at her a bit.]

We can't all be cute like some girls I could name, so I'll settle for being cool. But honestly, thank you.

Yes, that was us... [That last attack on the Heart Tree... she vaguely remembered Erika posting the video, but had other people watched?]

That depends on the questions, but I might be able to work with you on that.

[She's going to shuffle a bit, blushing as she realizes Itsuki's playing with her.]

[Itsuki blinks; Tsubomi really thought that highly of her? Sure, they were rapidly becoming an item, but...]

[Did you know that heroes blush, too? Because Sunshine's face is rapidly running hot.]

Of course. I understand the need for secrecy. First off, I was wondering how your group was able to teleport the tree away. You see, I am currently working on a technique that is quite similar and I was hoping you might be able to give me some insight.

W-Well...you mean a lot and... um...

[She can't put into words how she feels, just leaving herself just blushing.]

Um... I-I didn't interrupt anything with this, though, did I?

That's... a hard question, actually. I don't know how Potpourri did it, and it's not something I can do myself. I think it might have something to do with the Heart Tree itself. My guess, though, is that it draws from the power of the Heart Tree to protect itself. So I don't think my answer for that will help you any.

You're working on a teleportation technique, though? That sounds exciting... maybe there's something else I can do to help?

Potpourri? That was the little summon that was next to you, right? What kind of summon animal is Potpourri?

Yes. I am working on a space-time jutsu. My aim is to make it so I can have access to instant teleportaion so I can get to my allies on other battlefields if they are in trouble. I'm trying to heighten the control at the moment. It is a bit inaccurate at the moment, ranging from me appearing between a few inches to several feet away from my target destination. There was even a time I appeared upside down.

Sure, I can wait if you want to come join me.

[The girl grins.]

But I don't take it easy, so it might be a little rough. Still want to try?

Yes, Potpourri is my fairy partner. He's... not so much a summoned animal, as a protector of the Heart Tree. His job is to find a candidate to become a Precure if the Heart Tree's safety is threatened. So... that was me.

[Itsuki frowns, mulling over the details of the teleportation jutsu being described for a few moments.]

You're right, that's definitely a problem. Instant movement needs to be precise, or you end up in a position that's going to get you hurt. I'm not sure what you could do to increase the accuracy, though...

[Itsuki chuckles lightly.] Okay, we'll see how you hold up, then! I'll be waiting here downtown. Come find me. You should probably bring a towel and a bottle of water, too.

[Once Tsubomi's getting ready, the Precure decides to start early, hopping atop a nearby unused flagpole to work on her balance... being careful to make sure nobody is walking under it, and hopping to another flagpole if her position is suddenly threatened by nearby civilians.]

[It takes Tsubomi a minute to get ready and catch up, but once she does, she lands by a nearby flagpole as Cure Blossom... quickly trying to get her balance right before coming to a stop, crouched and clinging to the pole.]

I... I'm here...!

[sunbloom]

Cure Blossom... you came.

[Admittedly, she's a little impressed. Itsuki had been expecting to see Tsubomi, not Blossom. Progress! She ponders her next move for a moment before settling on one plan, and nodding.]

Are you ready? To start, I want you to try and follow me. We're going to go through the city, and we'll end up... well, I'm not sure where yet, but I'll stop eventually. Try not to touch the ground. Rooftops are okay, streetlights, flagpoles, whatever else. But do your best not to hit the ground. Okay?

[If this is an odd request, Tsubomi, speak now. Because she's going to be off like a shot in just a few seconds.]

Um... o-oka--woah! [And there goes Itsuki! Finding her balance once more, Tsubomi shoots off after her.]

[The pair are quickly on a whirlwind tour of the shopping district. Itsuki is jumping all over the place, never staying on one surface too long, bouncing from point to point and even off of walls; her face is all business, not that Tsubomi can tell that from behind her, except for during the occasional 90-degree turn.

The real challenge for this section is when Tsubomi notices Itsuki heading straight for a wall between two buildings... when she suddenly kicks off one of the buildings, to the other, and in several more actions wall-jumps up the barrier in the way, coming to rest lightly atop it and sitting down on top of the wall. The move looks... challenging, but not impossible. She waves down to Cure Blossom, taking a moment to catch her breath.]

I see. That is interesting. There isn't anything quite like that in my world. Then again, there is no magic in my world either.

I've tried a few different ways of doing it and so far the best way is to use seals. As such I am trying to refine the seal. Then the problem becomes transporting and using it then as sealing paper can be rather fragile.

I guess if you wanted to compare it to something, maybe this form is a summon itself? [The girl holds out a white device that looks not unlike an elaborate, fairly large perfume bottle.] I use this thing, my Shiny Perfume, to change into this form. In my normal form, I don't have powers.

...And I'm going to sound silly for asking, but what are seals? Some kind of pattern, I'm guessing?

[So far, so good. At least in Tsubomi's mind. A few missteps, but she hasn't taken herself out of their little game. It's when she sees Itsuki perform that walljump that nearly takes the wind out of her sails. She knows for a fact Erika would pull this off in a heartbeat. Her...]

...I-I'll do it!

[Building up what confidence she can, she starts the wall jump... only to time it just wrong and end up clinging to the edge, slamming face first into the wall.]

Ow... I-I'm okay... I-I can make it...

[Bit by bit, she starts to pull herself up and onto the wall, exhausted.]

Hmm... If you're gonna fight off more enemies, you shouldn't be sparring by yourself. Having a friend to fight against can help you grow stronger too.

If it changes your form and gives you power I'd compare it more to an artifact or artificial Kekkai Genkai instead of a summon. In my world, summon specifically refers to bringing forth a weapon or animal to aid you. They don't change how you yourself work.

Seals are formulas that are infused with chakra to give them uses dependent on the formula. This is labeled as fuinjutsu. Some seals can be used for explosives, others can be used to summon, or even store things. Those proficient in seals can be extremely versatile and dangerous ninjas. That said, of all the forms of jutsus fuinjutsu is one of the most dangerous to the user. A slight error in the formula can turn a storage seal into an explosive.
