*She hasn't transformed yet, but she's glowing bright green and she steps out of the way. Pipes start to shake on a nearby building, or maybe Kirika's just imagining it.*

I-it's not true. We don't have to exist to hurt people.

[She figured that'd be dodged. She hasn't begun to use her slowing magic yet---Kirika will prepare a quick spell to slow down the area in case of an attack. Those pipes are rattling a lot.]

People will always hurt other people whether you like it or no t.

*She takes a deep breath and concentrates, transforming into... is that a hybrid between a one-piece swimsuit and a showgirl dress, how does she even fight in that.*

Is that your excuse for the things you do?

[She's going to lunge again. Her magical girl outfit...is just basically a...coat thing with too many belts and ruffles. And a tie. And a fancy eye patch for no reason.]

*She summons two clappers shaped like heads of lettuce, one in each hand, as she steps out of the way -- not far enough out of the way, though, as she's sliced in the rm and staggers. She takes a deep breath and the glow around her fades; the pipes behave themselves.*

It's like Kefka-san said. Like Tomoe-san and Karen-san told me. I don't need to lose control to be strong enough to fight you.

Hey...those are making me hungry. I think I'm going to make me a sandwich after this.

[She smirks. All she does is raise one hand, palm forward.]

This is starting to get boring so I'll make this real quick!

[There's a glow surrounding her hand now and it's spreading to the concrete. It looks a lot like a magic circle spelling gibberish but when Kirika starts in for another charge she's moving faster than before.] Vampire Fang!

Reborn... Lettuce Rush!

*Retasu clicks her castanets together and starts shooting water out at Kirika.*

Your power is to go fast? *What did this girl even wish for? To be the school track star or something?*

[justforyou]

[That glow starts up again as jumps to the side. She just manages to get out of the way.] You've got to figure that out for yourself, kid!

[It's just the opposite, really. Kirika's moving at the same speed she was before. Change is slow, yeah?]

Stepping Fang! [Kirika swings her arm as if she was punching the air in front of her--the claws detach and are sent towards Retasu.]

*Retasu screams and guards her face as the blades slice at her. She bites down and fires more water blasts in a string.* Nn...!

[justforyou]

[She's already prepared for another attack. As soon as she had thrown the blades, she had already jumped in the air.] Too slow! [As she descends, there's already a replacement set of energy claws on that hand. She throws them again.]

No! *She reacts as quickly as she can, barely managing to get out of the way. She thinks. There's no way she's going to outrun Kirika if that's her power. What she needs to do is make her speed not an issue. But how--?*

[justforyou]

[Kirika laughs and lunges again. This was too easy!]

[aquaticrush]

*Retasu blocks, blasting with a strong burst of water. She skids back and leaps into the air, legs kept together - wait, suddenly she doesn't have legs. Instead, she has a very heavy fish tail heading to smack Kirika across the parking lot.*

[Kirika doesn't manage to move out of the way. But she does cross her arms and brace herself. The attack finally lands and she's suddenly flying through the air from the impact--though, wait. Those runes were glowing again. Kirika is...slowing down as she flies through the air? What?]

[aquaticrush]

*Retasu lands on her suddenly-restored feet and looks up.*

Kure-san... you can control your speed? That's it, isn't it?

*She's not going to leave an opening unguarded, though, so have more castanet-clacking and flying water.*

[justforyou]

[She doesn't answer, she just manages to land with a snarl. She jumps out of the way again. Time for another Stepping Fang and more flying blades.]

*Area effects are not Mew Lettuce's strong suit. She fires off another Reborn Lettuce Rush or two but gets sliced by some blades and nearly drops to her knees.*

Ah! --ngh...

[justforyou]

[Kirika just manages to stay on her feet.]

Are you done yet?

[aquaticrush]

*She breathes heavily, trying her best to stay up.*

Not by a long shot. This is your end!

[She runs towards Retasu, ready for one final powerful slash.]

I won't let you--!

*She goes to attack again, but this time it's too much. She ends up on the ground, bleeding and twitching to see which body parts she can still move.*

Oriko doesn't like me killing so, I'll let you go this time. But get the hell away from Mitakihara, got it?

[aquaticrush]

Nn... *She tries to force herself up.* Why are you... like this?

To protect Oriko. Every other magical girl is a threat to her. [She's almost emotionless as she speaks, a stark contrast to the way she's been talking up to this point.]
