Perhaps this is a foolish question to ask now, but have none of you had training in recognizing and protecting against devices and poisons that alter one's mind?

With the proper training, it is not hard to recognize when one is missing time, friends, or history. For example, I know I have forgotten someone close to me, for when I visited my palace there was music constantly playing that I did not recognize, and a wing devoted to a man I did not know.

Either another Inquestor is manipulating me, or it is the community. But thanks to that knowledge, I can protect against injuring those who have also become the victim of this cruel trick. Its a useful skill, dependent mostly upon observation, and I would be willing to teach others.

No, I do not think that is something commonly taught on many worlds. Not that I am familiar with, at least. Is... just anyone able to learn?

I would think so. It requires no inhuman skills or powers.

Certainly. You may need to visit my world to learn completely, however. We have machines here that can manipulate emotions - I would not wish to use the rather chaotic community viruses to teach you.

Ah, I'm afraid time does not move similarly between my world and the community. It might be simplest to simply offer you board whenever you decide to visit, and not worry about convenience. I would happily make time for any community guest.
