[Video] Canon Update

The video opens on a battle in progress, starring three very familiar girls fighting against a powerful enemy. It's Dark Precure versus the three Kibogahana Precure... and our heroes are on the losing side. Dark Precure is effortlessly wiping the floor with Cure Blossom and Marine, who have just used their Shining Fortissimo attack. They're blasted back, now unconscious.

A worried Cure Sunshine quickly runs over to where they land, holding on to her teammates. Meanwhile Dark Precure takes out her Dark Tact, ready for her next attack. But before she can do that, something strange happens.

In a flash, tiny lights appear, covering every visible tree. There must be hundreds of them, if not more.

"What is this?" Dark Precure and Cure Sunshine look around, both equally confused. "The lights of the Heart Tree?" Dark Precure flinches, as gusts of wind appear. The wind centers around one spot in particular, covering it, before bursting apart with a shining purple light. This reveals...

Yuri, in a glowing white dress, holding the Heart Pot.

She turns to look at Cure Sunshine and smiles gently at her.

"Hah...!" Cure Sunshine grins widely.

"You...! " Dark Precure glares at Yuri. "Don't tell me..."

"Courage... love... friendship... kindness... sorrow... joy..." Yuri turns around and holds up the Heart Pot. "All these feelings... Everyone's hearts..." She looks up at Dark Precure, her eyes narrowed. "I will fight for them!" She holds up her broken Precure Seed. "For everyone's hearts!"

"Precure... Open my heart!"

Pressing her Precure Seed into the Heart Pot, Yuri transforms in a bright purple glow. When the light fades, it's no longer Yuri that's standing there, but...

"The flower that glistens in the light of the moon,"

As am I. [It hasn't been that long since the battle and Yuri's hanging out at the Heart Tree, still transformed.] It's strange, feeling like this once more. I thought I never would again.

[She had been there the entire time. It still didn't make it any less awe-inspiring.]

I'm here. [Yuri smiles warmly at Tsubomi. Now that's a rare sight.]

Well, that makes one of us. This is technically supposed to be impossible, you know.

Itsuki can't help but stare as Yuri disappears and is replaced with what she can only describe as a vision of elegance and power. Tsubomi and Erika had, she supposed, probably felt like this when she'd transformed for the first time. All the same, the sheer energy can't stop the grin from staying on her face.

"Welcome back, Moonlight. We've missed you. Now... give her hell!"

Yuri turns to look at Itsuki and smiles encouragingly. "That was the idea, yes." She turns back to Dark Precure, her face now serious, as she takes a moment to prepare herself. She can't rush in blindly now, she knows that. A second chance is a miracle. A third chance is not going to happen.

Right before she charges forward, she says one more thing, quiet enough that only Itsuki can hear it. "And... thank you, Itsuki." She doesn't specify what for, but there are lots of things. But there is no time for that now.

It's a long story. The best way to describe it would be... a miracle, I suppose.

As am I. To be honest, I never thought this would actually happen. And yet it did. I've never been happier to be wrong about something.
