In the spirit of getting to know you all better, tell me about your families and how you get along with them.
Not much to say about mine. I have an aunt back in Paris and a cousin who I'm currently visiting with.

[ A lot of people confuse that distinction. ]
My primary field of study is fairies and my only ability that most humans would deem abnormal is the ability to see and speak to them. I act as a liaison between humans and fairies.

[ There's a bit of offense in her voice. Not because she has anything against fairies but she just.. she's spent her whole life being scorned for being able to see fairies, with a lot of people commenting on how she looks like a witch because of the color of her eyes or how she's probably a changeling, so she didn't fit into the human world. But she wasn't a fairy, so she could never really fit into theirs either, even if they were more accepting of her. At the very least she sounds indignant while she explains. ]
It's a really rare trait, but occasionally there are some humans who have the ability to see them. My mother could before me as well. They used to be a lot more common, but it's a lot harder now that most people don't believe in fairies.
