Canon Bump - Missing the Forest for the Trees

Kanade: I'm trying!

[The scene is kind of bewildering at best, watching Hibiki and Kanade run around with butterfly nets, swinging them like crazy in a park. They seem to be catching something, but there doesn't actually appear to be anything there.]

Hibiki: Hah! Did I get it?!

Kanade: You did! Lets get some more!

[And there they go, running around, hollering like maniacs as they're swinging those nets around. Just what are these girls doing? There's nothing THERE. Clearly this is blackmail material right here, as they're having fun swinging nets at invisible things.]

[A short time later, Kanade's finally getting around to checking the community... and seeing herself swinging a butterfly net at things that aren't there on the video. She has no words for this betrayal, her mouth flopping soundlessly and her arms gesturing in confusion at the screen.]

Of all the things we could have been recorded doing, why this!? It looks like we were running through the park like idiots catching invisible things only we can see... well, we were, but that's not what it looks like!

[Hibiki's facepalming but instead of being mortified, she's laughing ironically.]

It's terrible, but it looks hilarious. Oh god... Well I know what I'm doing next week. Tunneling into the bed being embarrassed.

[Kanade stands up in a huff, returning to her bed and hiding under the covers.]

Why wait? Now seems like as good a time as any. I'm glad we got things done, but... three months from now, I'm going to see a picture from this and want to go cry somewhere. The internet never forgets.

Invisible notes. The notes to the melody of happiness was scattered around the city, so we were gathering them up. Hummy made it so that we could see them.

Um... Ah... Tone-hunting?

Yeah we are. Otokichi-san was playing his organ and all the notes came out. So we're trying to catch as many as possible.

A.. ah, Hibiki-chan, Kanade-chan, are you okay? [ It doesn't really look so normal if they're running around after nothing at all, right.. ]

Are you trying to catch air or something like that?

"Notes"..? Are those invisible then?! [ That's got to be the only solution. That, or that they're crazy, but Usagi wouldn't just assume something that rude. ]

I can't see them at all!

Yeah they're everywhere, but they're invisible right now. Hummy can make it so that we can see them easily.

[She holds up the butterfly net.] There's so many of them.

You're sure it's just Hummy doing it, right?! Y.. you didn't get some kind of weird curse put on you by some enemy, right? That'd be so scary..!

Kouga geez! We're trying to catch very important things that no one else can see!
