Beginning of an End

Today has been ridiculous, community. It seems like everything seems to be going wrong.

Things were missing, my computer would barely boot up, and to top it off there has been tiny little tremors.

[Ayumi sighs, rubbing her head as if having a headache.] I don't know how this could possibly get worse--

[And then suddenly her camera starts shaking as the world practically crashes down around her and a yell from outside. And just as abruptly, the shaking stopped as Ayumi clawed her way out from under a pile of books.] Ow... that... that was some earthquake.

[Stumbling to her feet, she called out,] Mom? Was there any damage?

[Getting a muffled answer back, Ayumi turned to the community recording.] The tremors are getting more severe. I don't know how bad it is lately, but I'm worried. I'm going to call the other Precure and see what they're saying.

I'll update you all later, okay?

Are you all right? That seemed an awfully strong earthquake for the spur of the moment... and you say they are getting worse? [Funny, she hadn't heard of anything like that... must be isolated to that one world.]

They are getting worse, and I don't know what's causing it. It seems random but lately it's been weird. Things are missing, reappearing, and I could swear that there was a new building here in Yokohama that I didn't see get built. Let alone overnight.

That is highly unusual... if you are going outside, please be careful. I am unsure what is happening, but the likelihood is high that it will continue to get worse until the cause is made apparent.

I dunno if I should stay indoors though. There's a lot of chaos and things are happening all over Japan. I've seen mentions of earthquakes and odd weather patterns elsewhere in the world too through the news.

Something is wrong. Something is very wrong, and I am not sure what to think... I wonder if it might be connected to that incident from a little while ago, though? With the tower appearing out of nowhere?

Wait... do you think so? What do you think is happening then?

I do not know. But... whatever is happening there, it must be big, to cause disruption on this scale.

Although, if I were to hazard a guess... Daiki-san said something about a group seeking to take over all worlds, which means they were going to physically come to every world... which suggests they had to connect their world to our worlds, somehow, and that was how we came under attack. It also created the tower we all saw. Perhaps this is something that should be taken into consideration?

W-wait so you mean to say that my world could be, for a lack of a term, CRASHING into another?! Is that even possible?

You are discussing magical girls as casually as a sandwich shop on a busy street, there was an attempt to infiltrate our worlds a week ago, historically we have been whisked away to faraway places in the blink of an eye, and you are questioning worlds colliding?

[A beat.]

I agree that it is highly unlikely, but there are a limited number of possible causes, and our lives seem to become quite a bit less normal once we connect to this community. Sometimes, the explanation that makes the least sense is the one that rings strongest of truth.

You have a point. And it hasn't been like my world is quiet for any reason or rhyme. I guess if this is all coming true, we need to prepare for the worst of it. Even if the worst of it means that we'll be dealing with something hard to stop.

I can only wish you the best of luck; I am not particularly useful for affairs on other worlds, unfortunately. But I believe you can handle it - you have a number of friends to draw upon, I recall, and you have not-inconsiderable strength of your own. Crisis is only trying if you are not able to face it.

[Alice can't help but feel like she's channeling her best friend, but at the same time, it's the kind of advice that can really help someone get her feet under her, and it does her no good to keep it to herself...]

It's still very appreciated. I just hope nothing too bad will happen. There's a lot of factors we're unprepared for, and not all of it can be solved with battle-level force.

That is true enough. Some problems are better solved with diplomacy over force, and some are... difficult to solve at all. Between the many of you, though, I am certain you will be able to find a solution that protects everyone without having to make sacrifices.

I can't be certain but I'm sure now its related to the heroes on my world. It might be getting closer to another world, which is why everything's so crazy recently.

But I dunno. I'm not entirely certain what they can DO right now... even if I am one...

Nice to meet you too Natsume-san. I just hope everything will be okay. I mean, there's a lot of heroes on my world, but at the same time I'm worried for its safety.

I would be too.. If there are a lot of heroes, that means that it needs that many, right?

Yeah, it does. I worry to be honest, but lets hope that nothing bad will happen while this is going on. I don't want to wind up fighting people.

Do you have to fight people a lot?

Human-like people sometimes, but my own major battle didn't involve humanesque enemies.

Things like youkai then? Or animals? [ He'd backtrack and say he was trying to think of monsters from books instead of that being his first thought if it came up.. ]

Monsters yes. Creatures made from emotions and darkness. The problem being is that sometimes that I face things I'm not too certain of their origin at times.

I think most people don't really know where some things come from..

[ Natsume sure as hell doesn't. ]

Yeah. Well, apparently some of the monsters I've faced in the last few months came from previous Pretty Cure enemies.
