... hard to say really. I've never been... able to express my affection openly yet.

Its, well, its a professional thing. I cannot seek a relationship with my commanding officer. No matter what I want.

Sadly, yes. Although I'm not entirely certain if I could muster the courage to ask her out even if we weren't commanding officer and enlisted.

Everyone has love problems lately.

It really feels like it. Although I can be thankful that I have other things than love occupying my time.

That's right. I'm usually occupied with training and various other major things like that.

That war's gone on a long time.

It's been raging for three years now. It hasn't stopped yet.

That's horrible. Have you gotten anywhere?

We've halted their advance, and had some victories in Egypt. However breaking through the Gallia-Karsland Line has been difficult.
