*Makoto is rolling around on the floor, jumping onto the bed, batting around the string for the blinds, scratching behind her ears, and altogether doing nothing useful. All the while, she's humming something you might have heard incessantly over the past month or so. Finally, she grabs her head and whines.*

Auuuuuuuuu!

I can't get that stupid fox song out of my head! I don't know what to dooo!

Yep. And no one part is on long enough for it to get stuck.

This is pretty fun. A lot more fun than having to study.

How come we have to know all this stuff about angles in math?

Well, it helps if you're building something. Or shooting something--need to know the angle to hit it at the best.

I didn't know it was actually useful for cool things.

Oh yeah. When all the computers went out, all the calculations on how to put the Buster Machines together had to be done by hand.

That would take forever!

They got it done pretty fast, and without any of us blowing up. I was impressed!

Really? You can do it that fast?

Not as fast as Nakamura and Morishita. That was some impressive math.

I can't remember taking math before, so it's hard.

Don't worry, we'll get you through it.
