In general, yes. But that does not make the illusion of kindness and friendship any less sweet. One must hold onto it as long as one can.

Yes, but everything else in the world is fleeting as well. Life, love, art...all of it will fade eventually.

One of my friends often says such things. Perhaps the reason he remains a friend is because life is not worth living without at least someone to share it with.

It depends on the person. Some don't need to be told twice, and others take time. But I can say that sometimes, those "fools" are just better people at heart.

It's a pain, but sometimes this gets them a following. And that helps them along more.
