I think you're just from a different world. There's lots of places called Earth. Like this one, and my old world, too!

Multiple Earths?

Multiple everythings! I read it in school, too. The universe is shaped like a soccer ball and there's a bunch of other ones that are kind of like it but kind of not, and some really different.

That is quite an interesting thought--multiple manifestations of the universe.

What other planets does your Earth know of?

Uhh... There's a lot. Most of them don't have people on them, though. Are you from space? You're not trying to take over places, right?

Tell me, Makoto, has your planet heard of the Shadows? Or the Vorlons?

Uh... some people who were here for years and years and years talk about something called Shadows sometimes, like it was one of those old viruses, but I dunno about the other thing.

Oh, viruses are what we call the weird things that happen here. There wasn't one last month, though. I don't know why.

Yeah! The world could turn into that with a virus! Or people could think they were cats! That's why this community is messed up, but also fun.

I don't know why it's called a duck place. Maybe it just sounded funny.

It seems that Humans have a penchant for unusual naming practices.

Like what? Some name themes are cute! That's why I went with the theme when I named Nekotari!

For example, the station Babylon 5. The name appears to come from an ancient city on Earth, and the number comes from how many stations there were that were destroyed or otherwise disappeared before this one.

I thought you said Earth didn't like you guys. Why'd you name yourselves after them?

The Babylon Project was originally a dream shared by the Earth Alliance and my homeworld of Minbar, as the last best hope for peace in the galaxy. However, it has been brought into the way of two wars--one we have inherited from our ancestors, and one caused by corruption on Earth.

And that's why they hate you even though you're trying to keep people from taking over stuff? That's messed up.

The more a people is introduced to new things, the more they fear them and try to hide within their safe, comfortable places. The current administration on Earth has taken advantage of that fear and used it to control the populace.

I guess so. Lots of things are scary because they're new... But it's still stupid anyway!

That may not be the most nuanced way I've heard it put, but it is the most honest.
