Y'know, I'm pretty well-versed when it comes to magic items, but I've never seen anything like this before. A journal that talks back? Definitely a new one! I kinda wish I'd thought of it myself, but oh well. The ducks are a nice touch!

I wonder how this happened to my journal, though...

Maybe one of the other mages used it for an experiment and then left it here. People leave important stuff lying around all the time.

Or maybe... I actually found a cursed item and by opening and reading it, I just doomed myself to a really horrible death! [He sounds pretty casual about that possibility and, if anything, his smile actually brightens a little.] That'd be something!

...

Or maybe it was just a fluke earlier and I'm sitting here talking to myself like a crazy person. It wouldn't be the first time, ha ha!

Huh? But viruses aren't curses, they're just sickness and stuff! Though I guess some curses can make people pretty sick.

From what everyone else says, there's these things they call viruses but are more like random effects that mess around with people on the network. I don't really get it yet but they sounded interesting from what I read.

Hm... Those definitely sound like curses to me! And I'd know, I'm an expert on 'em! Though curses generally aren't that long-ranged.

I kinda want to see it in action now. I hope I get hit by one soon!

I wouldn't know about that kind of stuff. Except for this, its all fictional and fakey here. Apparently worlds work differently despite being connected on this Duck social network.

Well, it's definitely not fake here! It's so weird that there's worlds out there without curses or magic. I don't know what I'd do if I didn't have my magic!

I hope it's something fun. Something really gruesome. I can't wait to see!
