[ When this post starts up, it doesn't look like it's from any of Yuri's worlds. That's because it isn't. It's just some regular school, obviously on break for lunch, and there's a girl with her hair tied back in a ponytail. She's got a green ribbon in her hair with a little golden butterfly clip in it, her bangs still down and cleanly cut. It's a different school uniform. This one's got a plaid green skirt with a plain white, short sleeved blouse and a little green ribbon beneath the collar. It offsets her bright magenta hair quite a bit, but that's why she keeps it tied back to make sure it doesn't seem overpowering.

There seems to be some kind of conversation going on between her and two other girls all sitting with their tables turned together in the classroom. ]

Hiroshi's sister told me that he's going to ask you out, Yuriko.

What are you going to say?

She's going to say yes, obviously.

What, are you expecting me to make chocolates or something? It's already Valentine's Day, it's not like I can go back in time to!

[ The girl who certainly looked like Yuri laughed a little as her friends started teasing her about how that's better since she'd probably kill him if she had made chocolate, hitting one of them in the arm, but rather suddenly stopping and shutting her eyes. ]

Yuriko? What's wrong?

I'm fine, I'm just-- Dizzy. I think I'm going to go to the nurse's office. [ 'Yuriko' stood up from the table, her hand supporting her on the desk as she did, her friends looking pretty concerned. She smiles, waving her other hand dismissively. ] I'm fine, I'll be back later. Tell the teacher I went to go rest.

[ With that, she makes it to the door, opens it, and there stands Hiroshi with a bouquet of stargazer lilies. ]

Y-Yuriko!?

[ He clearly wasn't expecting her to open the door right as he was about to come in, but the flowers dropped to the ground as suddenly so did the girl, completely fainting. The video seems to black out at that point.

It doesn't seem like it's done if you keep watching though. About 20 seconds of blank screen later, it looks like the sun is setting in the window of the nurse's office as Yuri starts coming to. Her hair is down now, her ribbon and clip taken off to the side desk along with her reading glasses case and her backpack on the floor next to it. The lilies were sitting there too. She sits up slowly, looking around then looking down at her hands. Obviously something is wrong. The school nurse comes in after a second though and she quickly puts her hands down, looking up attentively at him. ]

Are you feeling any better? It seems like you fainted at lunch time. And on Valentine's Day of all things, poor dear.

[ Yuri looked up at her, there definitely being a different look in her eye than there was before. Instead of that carefree attitude, she looks like she knows something's very, very wrong. ]

I'm fine. I need you to call someone to take me home, just in case I get dizzy again.

[ That wasn't the reason. She had no idea where she was or what was happening, that was the reason. Last thing she remembered was.. well, it was disappearing so that her soul could reincarnate and the person who she became after that could live a happy life. Not suddenly waking up with very vague memories of everything that had happened in this life quickly being forgotten as her old ones start reawakening and she doesn't know why.

The nurse gives her a look because she looks anything but 'fine' right now, but goes to call someone. The video ends after Yuri quickly jumps out of bed and goes through the things next to her, the backpack, trying to find a wallet to figure out what the hell is happening. Why the hell she's pretty sure she's alive and whoever used to be here is fading fast. ]

[ At least she was being blunt as hell right now instead of trying to cover everything up. Only some of it. That's a good sign. ]

Did the community do something?

Not that I... know of. This will definitely sound like a strange question, but do you know me?

I know what the community is, of course I know who you are Karen. Something happened. I got reincarnated. Now I'm alive and and the person I got reincarnated as is..

[ What is she even? Gone? Dead? Displaced into a jar somewhere by voodoo magic? Battler didn't have magic after this whole thing, there's no way.. It felt like it'd been so long too. ]

She's not here anymore. I've got little vague memories but that's it. I've been going through her room to figure out who the hell she even was..

I thought too. I don't know what's happening. I think it's been more like almost 18 years. Not that I existed during most of them.

[...she was really back.

battler could hardly contain himself from seeing her returning, from seeing that she was alive and that her memories were there. it was a slow process, he figured, but this was the best possible scenario. he noticed that she was being called something else by her peers, and it became clear to him that he had intruded on her reincarnated self. yes, it was all due to his influence, his talks with bernkastel- the wishes he made before to the community, it was because he simply couldn't live without yuri being around.

he knew he was being selfish, that this was just as bad as reviving beatrice like his grandfather had tried, but it was already done. if he had known that yuri was so set on staying dead, on letting herself go, he might have changed his mind about this. it was far too hard, however, now that he was in this world. she had saved him, he had his sister and his aunt, but he had to deal with the pain of them being gone each and every day. he had accepted they would never come back, that much was true, but he would also never be able to find someone else like yuri. he had lost beato as well, and he tried so desperately to save her. he had a feeling though, that if he had been allowed to become tohya, everything would have played out as predicted. he would be a miserable person, one that would constntly try and kill themselves just to forget about everything. in the end, he knew that he was selfish but he didn't care.

he just didn't care anymore. when he woke up and yuri wasn't there anymore, he couldn't contain himself. he remembered it, the way his heart ached and how the tears poured out of him so easily. he cried, he wept for his lover. he knew she would have to go but it was so sudden, he didn't even get a chance to say goodbye.

now.... at least she was here, she was back. he had a feeling this wasn't quite right, but he couldn't stand the thought of her staying away forever. he told ange to move on, and he was proud that she did, but yuri was irreplaceable. she was his everything. no, she is his everything.]

Yuri.... [he speaks up, feeling so distant initially. it's like a crazy dream to him, honestly, that she's not really there and he's imagining it. she is though, she's there and she's alive. he wanted her to come back, yes, but he didn't think it would be this way. bern said she could do it, the community granted his wish, but he figured she would simply return as is, not coming back like this. coming back and replacing someone that was there before. reincarnation... it worked in mysterious ways.]

....Hey, I missed you. [he felt so choked up, just like he was about to burst. he wanted to cry, he could feel it already- both from happiness and disbelief. he felt guilty as well, but that would have to come later.]

[ There was a rush of emotion as she heard his voice. Out of everything that was confusing and hurting and how lost she was, somehow just the sound of his voice made things marginally better. Marginally less confusing, less painful. Even despite the fact that she didn't know what was going on, that she shouldn't be there it was like Battler was the only thing that still made sense.

The only thing and she'd left him like that. Alone. She'd just left her ring on the pillow where she would've slept and let go because she was scared that she wouldn't be able to if he so much as asked her to stay just a little bit longer. ]

Come over. My worldhop's still there, right? Just.. right into the room, don't let anyone else see you.

[ She knew that she didn't need him, she would be fine on her own, but.. She wanted him there. ]

[battler didn't need to be told twice that he needed to be there. he knew what was happening here, more or less, he was about as confused as she was.]

I won't, don't worry. I'm coming right over.

[he can tell what she's feeling already, just from hearing her voice. there was no telling what would follow from what was about to happen, what the consequences might be, but he knew that yuri needed him. battler closed the book he was using to contact her, and he went for her worldhop.

he spotted it, still in his room, and when he went to grab it he hesitated. it was going to be okay, everything was going to just be alright. he nodded to himself, then he used her worldhop. battler arrived, going to the room that she told him to. he was... worried, excited, afraid, but he went to her anyway.]

Yuri. [he repeated her name, now in person.]

[ When he got there, Yuri was sitting on the floor next to the bed with the phone in her hands. The things that she'd brought "home" were sitting there near her, but she hadn't bothered to put her hair back up at all. The glasses were on her face just because she actually needed them now for small things, like reading and cell phone screens.

She looked up at him when his voice rang out, standing up and tossing the phone onto the bed. She took a few steps toward him, but then.. well, she had to stop because she felt like she was going to start crying. Frankly, everything had been so overwhelming and she missed him and she felt guilty about how she'd left him. She knew he'd be alone, but she couldn't do that to him. Yuri ended up just saying the first stupid thing that she could think of. ]

I don't have any chocolates again.

[ They've never actually had a legit Valentine's Day, have they? ]

[ she's completely dazed. Minatsuki doesn't care about any other person that might have "died" so that Yuri could live; none of this reincarnation crap means anything to her at all. but to see Yuri alive again when her death had been so certain - it's such a relief that it honestly just wipes any coherent thought out of Minatsuki's mind, and the shock is evident in both her voice and her expression. ]

... Guess I'm the only one left who still has to "die", huh?

You're not going to die, stupid.

[ Yuri might sound a little bit curt, but.. Frankly, she cares about Minatsuki and just can't deal with all of that on top of everything right now. It's defaulting to just saying that it won't happen. ]

And you know that for sure? 'Cause you seemed to think that you'd be gone for good.

[ it's said sharply, but the glare that accompanies it doesn't last long; Minatsuki drops her gaze, frowning down at her lap instead. anger follows her shock, as it always does, but it's not hard to see that whatever is going on here isn't Yuri's doing. there wasn't any kind of deception involved in those "last words" she gave, she really did think that she would move on permanently.

in light of that, it's kind of hard to stay angry, especially when she's so glad to see Yuri again at all. ]

... So, what the hell is going on here, then?

[ Yuri's voice doesn't seem to have the same sharpness that Minatsuki's does, or even the same sharpness she had the first time. ]

I have no idea where I am, not much about who this person is supposed to be, or who the people I'm apparently living with are, who this girl's friends are, how I'm here, why I'm here, or why I can't just- [ Well, she cuts herself off at that last bit. Part of her wanted to be at peace and be able to move on. ] I have no idea.

Y-Y-Yurrrriii! [That's really all she can manage to get out right now, as that was all her mind could process. What did it matter if her clothes or setting was different, she was THERE.]

Hey, Sena.

[ She can tell that she's happy to see her at least, even if Yuri's incredibly off her game right now. ]

I knew there was no way you'd be gone forever! [No she didn't.] But, huh, where are you?

[tenminutes]

Really? Because I didn't. [ She shrugs, trying to feign nonchalance at least a little. She's been asked enough times that she's starting to be able to shove her fear down. ] I don't know.

You're...are you okay?

[Kendrix really isn't going to dwell too much on coming back to life. Pot calling the kettle black, after all.]

No.

[ Well at least she was being honest. That's one thing she learned in her afterlife. ]

[ It's not, since she's not dead anymore and there's no one 'from' there on the community anymore, but she has to check. ]
