[For Team One: The Old ShinRa Mansion]

Rufus is sitting in the basement, reading files- throwing a knife at an old picture of his father. He senses something coming towards the mansion, hoping the monsters would eventually come. Sighing, annoyed that he wouldn't get to have a ceremony. He starts running throughout the house to get to the back.

Knowing full well that Ichigo is the only one that can kill him, he still tries to kill Sephiroth anyway. The nuisance has been a stain on Shinra for far too long. Hopefully he can get a LifeStream tipped bullet into the bastard before he fights Ichigo.

Sephiroth steps into the grand entrance hall of the mansion with a smile on his face. So what if Rufus has a new weapon aimed at Kaa-san? She's far too powerful to be taken out by a mere ShinRa toy; for now, he will concentrate on wearing down Rufus, thereby giving Ichigo and Team One some kind of advantage.

"I'm waiting for you, ShinRa. I already know that you're a coward, and goading you as such would merely be a waste of my time; you could, however, at least make things interesting."

"Oh? You can see me? Is the great Sephiroth able to communicate with the dead?" Rufus's voice called from the shadows.

"I am capable of a great many things. as you well know." Although he now remained standing still, his eyes darted left and right, trying to locate the source of Rufus' strange voice.

"I figured. You're a necrophiliac too ~ sick bastard." Rufus moved within the rafters of the house, aiming right for Sephiroth's crown.

"Ah. You refer to the woman you have in the laboratory." He laughs softly, still unable to locate Rufus, although he is beginning to look higher up. "You act as if such taunts would bother me."

"I would call you motherfucker, but Kadaj gets that special honor"

Rufus pulled the trigger.

Unlike Kadaj, Sephiroth has had literally years of combat experience, and reacts to the shot as soon as it rings out across the entrance hall, bringing the Masamune up to block the bullet before it can harm him. Frowning, he scans the shadows, hoping that Rufus' fondness for monologuing will give away his position.

"I am aware of Kadaj's unique fondness for Kaa-san. I can assure you that that part of his personality is not something I can claim to have given to him."

"You just like dead chicks." Rufus responded, coming from behind Sephiroth. The bone part of the Hallow mask visible now.

He spins around and frowns as he catches a glimpse of Hallow Rufus, his eyes narrowing, and he brings his sword up in a defensive stance.

"What have you become, ShinRa?"

"Something higher than your own form." Rufus replied in all seriousness. A twisted smile contorted his figure as he threw a cellphone at the former general, "I'd call your mother and say your goodbyes. The Ray has just gone off."

"I'm quite sure that Kaa-san is capable of looking after herself," he sneered, swatting the cellphone away from him. "And I doubt there could be any life form superior to those gifted with Kaa-san's cells. Now, have you quite finished with your feeble attempts to goad me, or would you care for a moment to gloat over my first defeat?"

Anderson enters through the doors of the mansion, moving swiftly but alertly. From somewhere inside the house, he can hear the sounds of gunfire and talking.

"..."

Not bothering to check if Ichigo is following behind, Anderson starts running through the labyrinthine mansion.

Ichigo follows Anderson, having drawn Zangetsu in case of an immediate attack.

"Watch yourself, Anderson. He'll be fast...and he won't appear directly in your sight," his eyes narrowed, "Good luck."

Rufus rolls his eyes at Sephiroth, determined to drag him to death. He slinks backwards into the shadows.

Alexander half-nods, his eyes darting around the room for any sign of Rufus.
