That teenage cashier keeps trying to figure out who's the daddy. She asks me every time we go to the supermarket. I think they are taking bets.

[Ariadne, meanwhile is getting the dishes out. She hands them to 11-12 and Light, who go to work setting the table. But Ariadne grins at Arthur’s comment.]
I know they’re taking bets. I heard one of them say it was Lyall. [Lyall quirks an eyebrow as he peers over the top of his newspaper. Alexia, more amused than concerned about the topic pats his shoulder.]

It is curious how they all seem so interested in the topic. I hardly see how it is any of their business, though.

[James wasn't exactly a morning person, nor was he a crowd person. In the breakfast rush, he was more content to hang back, sipping his coffee in a quiet corner. Upon hearing both Randolph and Alexia's honor besmirched, however, he had to speak up.]

[Arthur distributes the food in the different plates that the younger ones are setting and then mores close to James to give him a kiss on the lips.] Everyone likes to talk, just ignore them.

[Lyall folds his paper and sets it down, leaning over to fuss with Arthur's collar affectionately. If he can't get the other men- besides James- wearing cravats, he does at least make sure they look as well as they can.]

I should hope he was. The rest of us are at least twice their age.
