Just my luck. The first time I get the ability to contact the outside world, and I get stuck on this website. Really shoulda seen this coming. I don't even know why I'm shocked.
On the off chance that any of you actually are the police: I've been kidnapped by a creepy old man for science, save me.

I'm coming up with a few ways to break out at least, but it's a bit slow going because everything in this stupid building has a different access code so I can't exactly just walk out.
no subject
...access code? What is that? Surely you can't get someone to do it for you, can you?

And an access code is like a password, just with numbers that I need to punch in to this panel they have next to all the doors to unlock it.
1/?? i am so sorry?

But how-

DESMOND WHY DO YOU DO THIS EZIO IS THINKING WAY TOO HARD FOR SOMETHING SO SIMPLE.]
7/7 done and no, i'm not sorry actually
[...A++ Ezio. For all that confusion and comment spam, you go with keys. Keys. /face in hands]
ezio............
There's no keyhole in the door for starters. It would be too easy for some poor bartender to find a few paperclips and pick the lock. I bet that's exactly what they said when they designed this place.
welcome to the dumbassery of your family desmond
[And then it clicks.]
What year is it for you?
all he ever wanted was to be born into a smart family ;^;
... /shooshpaps his head, it's okay, we don't always get what we want
But for these... access codes. Those are in 2012, sì? That is much further ahead than I am.
sobbing
So let me get this straight to make sure I'm not confused: You're from the past. As in actually from the past. [Did he hit his head? Fall asleep? Man, fml, this week keeps getting weirder.] So... What year is it for you then?

Alright, well let me try this again: The people who own this building know that they're kidnapping people who have a certain skill set and lock-picking would be pretty easy for most of us, so they can't exactly use "normal" keys without risking an escape, so they don't. As a result, in order to get out the door I have to solve a puzzle basically.

So they do not want to make anything easy. If these "access codes" use numbers, can you study those who use them, to see which ones they put in?

And before you even suggest it, there's no way to tell which numbers get used just by looking at just them either. Not without a fingerprinting kit or something like that at least.
I'm working around that by looking through this woman's mail. Her and her boss occasionally talk about security stuff, so I'm hoping they'll let the code slip at some point.

But it's not a big deal. I mean, it is, but I know I'll find my way out of here. It's just a slow process.
