Quick: how do I deal with a final-boss level vampire with massive amounts of ice magic and the disposition to drain me dry?

That's actually not a bad match up. Darkness vs. Light, Wind vs. Fire, etc.

Is she more powerful than you?

She is. Incredibly more powerful than I am.

I'm trying not for a direct confrontation, but she seems insistent on doing so.

All she said was that it was to break a curse my dad put on her.

That...actually seems like a good thing to do. Couldn't you break the curse for her?

I have no expertise on curses. At all. I'll have to study much harder in order to learn how to do so.

She doesn't need the curse to stay alive. She's a high daylight walker with immense power and centuries of control. The curse is basically restraining her from doing anything bad.

I heard stories that she'd like raze buildings for fun and blow up stuff just because she was bored.
