Is this how you work it? I really need some-oh, it's on! Great! It was getting frustrating after a while, but it...looks like the video on this thing is working.

[And so the face of a spikey-haired boy comes into view, his face showing signs of excitement.]

Ciaossu! Listen, there's a problem here. See, this place keeps on popping up on my computer, and I've tried several times to make it go away. But, it just won't! I really don't know what to think about it.

Anyways, it's really starting to clog up my computer by this point, and I'm wondering if there is any way to just make it go away. What is this place supposed to be, some sort of...social network site? This is all sounding way too familiar with what Natsume-san does.

...oh, right! I forgot about it. Ahem, my name is Souhei Sasahara, but my friends call me "Sasayan", so feel free to call me that. If you have any idea on how to help me, please let me know! If it doesn't go away then... [A bit of despair seemed to flash on his face at that point, quickly replaced by his usual grin.] Thanks, you've been helpful!

I don't know about wizards, I don't think there are any in my world, but I know for a fact that there are magic in other worlds. There are a few spells in mine, but I'm certainly not a witch. I'm a fairy doctor.

[ She nods. ]

[He's beginning to think that someone might be pulling a prank on him with of everything that is coming out of her mouth. But...she seems so certain of it, which disturbs him.]

...A fairy doctor? So you have wings and all of that? [He motions to his back.]

Jeez, this place sure is weird if you're from that time era...and especially off a book.

I'm not a fairy myself, I'm a fairy doctor. A fairy doctor is a human with the capability of seeing fairies who chooses to dedicate his or her life to the pursuit of knowledge regarding fairies while acting as a liaison between the human and fairy world. In other words, I help to keep humans and fairies living peacefully.

[ She tilts her head, adding thoughtfully. ] Many fairies don't have wings either, though. There are pixies, the Fairy Queen's court, and quite a few others but even really common ones like Brownies or Coblynau don't have wings.

Though I must agree with you. I find some of the things here very difficult to believe myself.

[The look on his face as she's describing these things shows the mass confusion he was experiencing....he was following it all too well, but to him, it all sounds like gibberish. Oh crap, he hope she doesn't get mad from his expressions.

At the same time, though, it does sound interesting. Fairy doctors as mediums between the two species? That's something that caught his interest.]

Hey, some things may be hard to believe in, but that doesn't make them not true. I guess I have to believe in what you're saying, though, about the whole fairy thing...it actually seems cool to have a job like that! Or a role...I dunno if it's pleasant or not.

Oh, man, you know what would really help out, too? Knowing your name! If I'm talking to someone that has interesting stuff to say about their world, it would be better to address them by their name, as well!

Oh! My apologies. My name is Lydia Carlton.

[ She laughs a little, happy but nervous. Even though he's obviously not sure what to think about this stuff, he isn't treating her like she's nuts. ]

I love the job but it's not exactly a very well-accepted one, unfortunately. I didn't get paid much until recently.

Nice to meet you, Lydia-san! [Wow that sounds weird just saying that. Maybe he'll just stick to Lydia.]

Eh, what do you mean "not a very well-accepted" one? Do the humans not like fairies that much? It sounds like you would get paid a lot to do it, actually, seeing as how you are a medium and all...

What does that one mean, Mr. Sasahara? [ She got her explanation of "-chan" from Usagi, so she doesn't quite understand suffixes like that... ]

Very few humans believe in what they can't see in front of their faces any longer.

Ah, wait, your last name is Carlton, right? It's supposed to be Carlton-san...oh! It's like saying "mister" or "miss'! But I think I might just call you Lydia. And please, call me Sasayan! [His face grew a rosy color as he said this.]

Ah, yeah, I see what you mean. Nowadays, in our time, it's really hard to believe something such as a fairy tale. But that doesn't mean they can't be true, right?

Lydia is fine. Though if I'm supposed to use your name meant for friends, then it would be Sasayan-chan, right? [ Needless to say, her last explanation wasn't thorough. She's glad she gets to call him as a friend already. ]

Haha, that's something you would actually call a girl. For me, I would be called "Sasayan-kun", as that's the suffix for boys! I'm surprised that someone taught you the "-chan" part, though. Even if they didn't do a good job in explaining it...

You know, I'm starting to think that they might just be, seeing as how you're pretty set on what you just told me. I'll believe you!

That's the only one I knew, my apologies. [ Well, at least she's getting corrected now. ] Someone on here taught me the other one. It would be Sasayan-kun then? Or should I simply stick to Mr. Sasayan or Sasayan? [ This naming thing is so difficult when other languages get involved. ]

No, no, it's alright, you're barely learning these things. It's only natural that there'd be some confusion thrown into the mix. [He wonders who could have taught her, then...] Ehe, calling me "Mr. Sasayan" would make me feel old, so either Sasayan or Sasayan-kun would work just fine!

Sasayan then. I'm likely to forget the suffixes or get confused again otherwise.

So you don't think you have fairies in your world then?

Alright, well, I think we've settled for something that everyone can agree on.

Eh, I'm not sure, really. I haven't seen one with my own eyes, and I have no clue what fairies would do in the first place.

[ Lydia puts up a fingers, more than happy to talk about fairies. ] There are many different kinds of fairies. Have you ever had only one sock go missing?

Eh? Now that you mention it, I've always wondered where those other socks went...I thought it might have been because of my negligence of throwing my clothes or something, but...

W-Wait a minute, you're telling me fairies do things like that!?

Brownies normally help to clean up around the house, but sometimes they get mischievous and tend to take things, like socks.

[Brownies? That's an odd way of naming a fairy. Oh well, the more you learn.]

So what you're telling me is they clean up around the house...and steal my socks? That's a little dirty. Ehe, oh well, is there anyway of getting them back, at least?

Amongst other things. When something seemingly falls off of a desk because of nothing or perhaps you trip on your own feet, it's usually them. They can be quite playful.

If you had a worldhop, perhaps I could ask them for you? Once I'm back in Scotland, of course. I'm a little busy at the moment.

These fairies really are cumbersome, then. I've always thought it was the wind that actually made my stuff fall down. And... [His face grew rosy again.] I always thought I tripped myself, but that's a whole different story!

Excuse me, a worldhop? What exactly is that?

They're actually quite harmless outside of those few things and can be quite helpful. [ Lydia smiles earnestly. She really does love fairies. Though after a moment she tilts her head, looking to the side. ] At least Brownies. Other types can be much more dangerous, especially if you're not careful.

I'm not exactly sure, but I'm told it's something that can allow you to travel from your world to others and back again.

[He meets her smile with one of his own.] You really do take interest in these fairies, don't you? [When she mentioned "dangerous" fairies, that caused him to tilt his head.] These guys can be dangerous, too? It must be their pranks gone awry, then.

... [The look on his face when she described that was caught between disbelief and sheer amazement.] They can do that here?!

Of course! Just because most people can't see them doesn't mean I can ignore them or pretend they're not there. [ There's a slightly unsure look. It's hard to give fairies a good image when people tend to not see them as "cultural differences" and more as dangerous sometimes. ] Well, things like leprechauns and clurichans are quite fond of drink and can get into quite a bit of trouble... Humans don't always get along with fairies simply because of some fairies diets, of course. [ She's just hoping he gets the implication that certain ones eat humans. ]

Yes! I haven't done it myself, but I've been transported to other places during parties.

I know what you mean. Tell me, can you see some around me right now, though? [He's motioning to the space around him. He can't even tell if he hit one just now or not. Oh well.] Oh, you guys have leprechauns too? I've always wanted to catch one to see if I can get rich off of them, but ehe, it doesn't seem like that'll be happening anytime soon. [...wait, fairy diets? What...oh.] So, some fairies actually...well, that's something I sort of expected. These things sure are...varied.

Hehe, well, if I ever had one, you'd be welcome to come visit sometime soon! It's always nice to hang out with new people.

If there were, they wouldn't be hanging around your head. Can you show underneath your bed? If there are brownies in your room, they probably got stuck in there on accident. [ She nods, smiling a little shyly. ] Even the ones who do have diets like that can be friendly, though, so please don't think that they're monsters.

[ This guy really is too friendly to her though. It's not a bad thing, it's just.. not what she expects. She does question it a little bit, especially since he's not questioning her about fairies like everyone does even if she can find ways to provide proof. Is he trying to trick her..? ]
