[ raising his voice a little, he announces: ] Bit of advice for you all: if you ever happen to be caught in a tight spot with an Oruplasmian, whatever you do, don't let her try and solve the problem by swallowing it. You think you've seen bad indigestion in whatever your species is, let me tell you, you haven't seen anything until you've had to tangle with the Oruplasmian digestive system.

[ beat. ]

Oh, and while I'm here, has anyone else noticed that Kirei Kotomine and Goldilocks's world has been locked off? Someone might want to look into that, just a thought. Any other time the community's restricted access to a world, it's never been good.

[ another beat, a longer one, this time. ]

Oh, and all those dealing with a virused friend over the next few days, remember to stay in touch. The personality switching ones can be a bit on the hairy side.

Ah, well, as for that... long story involving a mass picnic that went horribly wrong. We sort of ended up on the same transport together and it was all downhill from there.

In terms of how bad it is being stuck in one, yeah, they're pretty close. Much more even-tempered though, generally speaking. Lovely people when they're not swallowing things they shouldn't be.

As for the Oruplasmian, they're an alien species that bears a very vague resemblance to a very large mollusc. Or well, more or less. They also have the useful trick of being able to unhinge their jaws at will. Makes for a good icebreaker at parties, at any rate.

Yeah, I ran into that extremely unpleasant surprise when I tried world-hopping over there myself to check something out. If you do have any friends stuck there, I'd definitely say that now's the time to talk to them.

Is there another virus going around? I do not think I have seen any of the people I know succumbing to it yet.

Not so much. Or well, rather I should say that it isn't unheard of. It's happened a few times while I've been here, usually either when something's happening on a world that'd threaten all the others as well if it was still properly connected, or when something's about to happen that the community doesn't want anyone else interfering with for some reason. [ beat. ] Or you know, it could even be the world itself trying to reassert itself. Jury's still out on that one.

It seems like it, yeah. Still trying to figure out what it is exactly, but it definitely seems to be altering people's personalities somehow.

You just might, yeah. The answer is that I'm still trying to work that one out. The last thing Kirei posted worried me, and not just because he sounded so pleased about becoming someone else's consequence.

[ he doesn't appreciate feeling like he's being played like a grand piano on two fronts, tyvm, team yuetsu. ]

The world became locked off at around the same time, you see, which is either the most astonishing coincidence I've ever seen happen, or else whatever it was that that consequence did had further reaching ramifications than anyone would have thought. Enough that the community thinks that world's a threat that needs to be restricted from getting access to all the others, at any rate. Either that, or failing to prevent it means that that world's timeline's trying to reassert itself and make sure that no one else can meddle, which given the situation over there right now can't be a good thing, not with what Diarmuid's been filling me in on. Might even be a bit of both for all I know.
