[Yesterday, Kanade was on cloud nine. Everything was going right. Her plans had gone just perfectly, and she'd managed to convey her feelings clearly and have Hibiki respond in kind. Basically, every girl's dream, right? (Well, minus the part about Hibiki being another girl, but that wasn't important.)

Today? You're looking at video of a lump under a bedsheet, lying down and curled into a ball.]

I can't believe I c-c-confessed to Hibiki like that...! How am I going to look at her ever again!? Oh, this is horrible...! I mean, I liked it, and yesterday felt great, but I can't just go that far with her... can I?

[A long silence.]

What am I supposed to do now? I kind of joked about it before, but now it happened, and... help?

[The girl trails off. You have no idea what her expression is under the bedsheet, but she sounds like she's working her way up to a major breakdown. Her door and windows are locked; she can't barricade her bookshelf from anyone coming in that way, but aside from that she's locked in.]

That's just it. I'm afraid that I'll scare my friend off if I get too crazy. And viruses aside... I'm not sure how good my control over my emotions is right now. I'm a mess, and I'm scared I'll hurt someone if I keep going.

I kind of did something with my best friend that I'm not sure was a good idea. I think it was a virus, because the way I felt yesterday went away late last night.

Viruses - at least when we're talking about the community - are something that makes reality change a little. Maybe there's something in your world that shouldn't be, or your personality changes a little, or you're suddenly somewhere else, or you have memories that aren't yours but you don't know better at the time. They don't last long, but they're a little hard to deal with sometimes.

Yesterday's virus... I don't know how to say it. I guess one way to put it is, you felt like nothing that you did would have bad side effects. You could do whatever you wanted without fear of reprisal, or hurting someone else. But... that ended up not being true.

And I'm not going to solve anything by trying to say something and tripping over myself because I'm too nervous to even talk to her right now!

...What if you confessed, and you had a great day with that person, and then you woke up the next day and... suddenly, you're not so sure. You start second-guessing yourself. Whether you're really ready, or if the person seemed to just go along with you in the moment.

That's... how I feel right now. It's a horrible feeling.
