They are dealt with appropriately, according to the laws here, as are all Downworlders.

Warlocks, vampires, werewolves, faeries... Creatures like that.

I see. Well, I suppose everyone must follow some set of laws. Imagine the chaos there would be otherwise!

Yes. It wouldn't do to let just every horrible creature run around and kill whoever they wanted to.

Are they all so horrible?

They are all tainted by demons. What do you think?

Demons? All of them?

Yes. Either through a taint or disease passed on by them through the blood after being attacked by certain demons or by having at least one demon as a parent.

So...none of these "downworlders" work cooperatively with a demon? Say, through a contract of some sort?

[sebastian_verlac]

Some might. You have ones more inclined to violent acts than others.

You would consider all of these people connected with demons to be naturally evil?

Wouldn't you?

That's hard to say without experience with them.

What about angels? What do you know of them?

I've heard stories of them, but I don't know them to be real.

They're very real. At least in my world.

Are they considered good, then? The opposite of demons?

[sebastian_verlac]

That would be the general consensus. But that is not to say that they are in any way friendly. Angels are powerful, terrible creatures, even if they are on the alleged side of good.

What is it that they do?

[sebastian_verlac]

Keep out of the way, mostly. But they.... lent some of their blood to my ancestors long ago, making us strong enough to fight the demons.

You have the blood of angels?

[sebastian_verlac]

Yes. They call us Shadowhunters.

That must be quite the responsibility to hold.
