[video - canon update - episode 23 2/2]

About a day has passed since the previous video involving Setsuna, but it looks like no time has passed at all in the world itself. It resumes right where the previous one left of, with Cure Peach shaking Eas' body.

But this time the video continues. The plushie looking thing that only appeared in the background of the last video, takes the center stage this time. The crest on her forehead has started to glow. She floats up into the air, calls out and the crest glows even brighter.

A red light swiftly flies into the forest, straight into Eas. The light grows even brighter, to the point of engulfing the whole video.

The light stays like that for a little while. Eventually, though, it does fade. At the same time, the sun is finally breaking through the clouds.

Eas has vanished. Where her body lay before, there now stands a girl dressed in red. She stares at herself, both confused and amazed.

"I'm... a Pretty Cure?" She looks up. "Cure Passion!"

"Setsuna is the fourth...?"

"The fourth Precure!"

Cure Peach smiles widely. "Cure Passion!"

The video cuts off again, this time finished for real.

[OOC note: Red is Setsuna, pink is Love/Cure Peach, blue is Miki and yellow is Inori.

Setsuna will be responding this time, although it will icly be several hours later.]

Back in Labyrinth... We're taught not to help others, unless specifically ordered to. Anyone who needs help in the first place is generally seen as weak. Yet here, it's... just how things are done. It's so strange. I still don't really understand it.

But... I think I like it better this way.

I... see. Sorry about that. I didn't mean to worry anyone. [She's not sure if she'd really say she's fine, but, uh. She's not dead at least, so it is a step up.] I still don't really understand what just happened myself.

Probably. Love is like that. She even came to look for me after she knew I was her enemy. She said she... still considered me her friend, even after I told her everything was a lie.

Not everyone is that self-aware. But it's a good quality to have. [Still smiling. She hasn't actually realized that she's doing it yet.]

If someone who only brought misery to people can try to bring happiness to others, I'm sure someone who only knew how to destroy can protect people. But, it's a long road back. You just have to take it one step at a time.

Ah, yeah... I guess so. [She doesn't actually look that happy about it.] It's kind of funny. I'd been trying to figure out who the fourth Precure was for a while now and get rid of them... and it turns out it was me the whole time.

Well, that's less reassuring for you. Still, I do not doubt that they are now kicking themselves for increasing rather than decreasing the number of these Pretty Cures.

Interesting. Large scale social engineering-but with no incentive to obey other than the potential of rewards, and no second chances. It implies a rather static society, not one where this Moebius recently took power through acclamation or force. On the other hand, it seems as though it has more than a few weakpoints.

[ Honoka's not really sure what to say to this, considering everything that she's seen. Everything that Setsuna... no, Eas was. Seeing her die had been horrible enough, re-opening wounds that she first didn't realize were still there. Kendrix also dying hadn't helped with that.

But then there was now this. She wasn't sure what to think about Setsuna becoming a Precure... but it meant that she had been more right about would've happened than even she could've guessed.

There was really only one thing she could say in this situation, wasn't there?]

[Replying to the other Precure is a lot harder than everyone else. She had been trying to destroy them until just a little bit ago, after all. It's still easier than talking to Love or the others, but not by a whole lot.

So Setsuna is a little hesitant when she speaks.]

...I wasn't really expecting to get back from that.

That, I don't doubt. They had been trying to figure out the identity of the fourth Precure for a while now. I'm sure they're especially upset that it turned out to be one of their own, since usually all information in Labyrinth is carefully controlled.

I don't really know much about how it works or the history. That kind of information is only available to the most highly ranked - and there aren't a lot of those. Only two agents are that high up, as far as I know.
