Kano's the only one who really seems to be, the others just seem to not want to cooperate. Or they want me to gag gift them. [ She sighs for a moment. ] Maybe I should just get everyone little jelly bean pooping cow toys if they don't come up with something.

If you've had him that long he probably just thinks that's his name, so it's too late to change it-- and just how old is he that it's taking him this long to get over there?

He's probably outside. It'll take a minute. [Yet he still seems pretty sure he'll eventually show up.] You can not-alchemy up stuff, they oughtta milk that while you're still around. This'll probably be your last Christmas and all, right?

Just how old is your dog? [ Or is it just poorly trained? ] Last Christmas, yeah. I don't think most of them realize that though.

No idea. Seemed full grown when I got him, so maybe five or six? Still, it ain't like you're shy about the fact that you're dying-dying or anything... They miss the memo or tryin' to put it outtah their minds?

He's probably an old man dog if it's taking this long for him to get there.

You, Battler, and I are pretty much the only ones willing to accept it.

Well, if he's outside, he can't really hear me, so... Anyway, I guess his sister wouldn't take it too good. Any worry she's gonna go on another suicide thing or whatever over it, or's he ready to handle her when you go?

Whistle for him. They can always hear that. [ One way or another. ] He won't give up on the game until she makes her choice. I can't leave until he finishes that. Ange's fate is already in her and his hands. Ange already knows about me, she just doesn't really understand everything.

Heh, I got somethin' better than a whistle.

Nn, so that last game's underway... If she knows basically what's goin' on with you, she oughtta at least think about how much it's gonna suck for him if she offs herself and you're dead a little later. Take it you tried that angle on her?

[ She nods, her expression not seeming to be much beyond nonchalance.. but she's always had an excellent pokerface. ] I don't think any "angle" is going to work unless she wants to have a future. She needs to want to live for herself, not for him or me, or it's not going to work.

[That's when one of his crew members clears his throat off screen. Greed turns his head, then breaks into a grin and motions over; a happy, tail wagging dog is promptly carried over, bounding out of the carrier's arms onto the couch, sitting down and being pat on the head. It's energetic, but decidedly not an affectionate tackling licking type of pet.] Atta boy. [Whether he's talking to the dog or the crew member is unclear; the second statement, at least, is probably at the crew member.] 'ey, see if we got any bones for the guy, yeah?

Anyway, if she lives for someone else even for a while, that'll at least buy some time. Between the two of you it's like yer boyfriend's got a bomb strapped to his neck.

[ Wow, that's a cute dog. Yuri's staring at it like she wants to say something, but refraining. Mostly because she can't actually pet the dog so saying a bunch of things like how cutesy he is would probably just be weird with Greed. ] He seems like a good dog. Does he know any tricks?

I'm not doing anything he can't handle. If it was, he'd be trying something incredibly stupid to stop it from happening.

He figured out where he ain't supposed to be leakin' body fluids. Half my guys can't figure that one out sometimes it seems like. He'll sit when he wants to, too. [It's hard to tell if he'd being sarcastic or really considers such tricks impressive in the way only its owner would.]

Somehow, if he ain't bein' stupid, ain't it kinda disappointing, though? I mean, ain't that what love is for most people, being stupid at each other until finally you decide to be stupid together or something?

Only when he wants to? [ That's not really a trick, Greed.. ]

That was way too profound for you, Greed. Though pretty accurate, at least when it comes to romantic love.

Aa. Or if you grab his butt and push it down, he can usually get the hint and stay like that...

Anyway, it means you should look forward to somethin' stupid happening until the end, if you're with that guy. He's a "romantic." That means stupid, in other words.

He's not trained at all, is he?

I know he's stupid and romantic, but I don't think he'd do anything really regrettable. I don't even think he can. If he can't bring his family back to life, he definitely can't bring me back.

It's impressive because he ain't trained!

And, since he can't bring you back, anything stupid'd be about havin' to keep you around, wouldn't it?

Isn't that the opposite of impressive?

[ She shakes her head. ] He's stupid but I don't think he's that stupid. If he were going to try to argue he's already had about 50,000 opportunities to do it. Besides, one moment of real true contentment and I could slip away on accident. It's not like it hasn't happened before.

It's natural. He just picked up the way to be mostly on his own. That's good, ain't it?

Well, I guess it means he's more free.

Speakin' of free, maybe it will be better for him, bein' free of you after a certain point. Much as he might like you, it's gotta wear on a guy, knowin' he's never really makin' you happy.
