You know what? I like being a Senior. It's a lot of fun. There's prom and parties and the Cheerios and all kinds of stuff to do.

Graduating would be fun, too, though.

Accidental Video
[There's Yayoi posing in front of a mirror, examining herself. She seems to be in some kind of club house as her friends are looking at her shirtless back, the girl in a bra and all as she's examining the tiny dragon wings that were sprouting between her shoulder blades.]

Any way to see if this is just a side effect?

[She is also blushing pretty hard too.]

[Tony woke up with his own problem - two eensy blue wings on each wrist, glowing just like his arc reactor. he's in the gym, trying to bind athletic tape over them before Pepper sees, but they keep fluttering and making things difficult.

he's unimpressed.

when the community blips on the screen embedded in the window, he just glances over, already completely unphased by this whole business]

Hey, paging Dr. Foster. If you hadn't noticed already, you got another one for your list.

Miles "Tails" Prower

[The video starts up and for once, he's not sitting at his desk. Actually, he's sitting on his bed. He also has his shoes off for once, which, aside from having fur on them that cover nearly the whole foot (yes even the bottom), they look just like human feet. There's also an orangish-yellow tiny wings near his ankles, thus preventing him from wearing shoes and he doesn't seem to have any sandals.

He also has another pair on his back just because the community wanted to be jerks to him.]

I'm starting to think I need to buy a lot of stuff in order to be completely prepared at this point. It's already been two years since I joined. Looks like I'll have to stay indoors for a while.

[He sighs and shakes his head.] At least I'm not stuck with an extra tail and in Chun-nan like that one time.

*Kano is clothed this time, thankfully! Her wings are on the tops of her wrists, which is probably really impractical, but since they appear to be made of colourful helium balloons... yes, seriously...*

Best.

Virus.

[Accidental Video] Tiny wing virus, + a return

[Guess who's finally back, ladies and gentlemen? Or better, guess who the community decided to pester again when he was hiding from everyone? Yup, your resident point man.

He's shirtless, sitting ont he bed of a shady hotel, got a stubbly two days's beard andwas trying to change the bandage around his right shoulder when the video started to record him. Being shot at was a pain in the ass. Do you know what's a pain too? Not being able to reach the wound and clean it because that two small wings on his shoulders are getting in the way.

Arthur is not a happy camper.]

The Master [Harry Saxon]
18 May 2012 @ 03:54 pm

Well, this is new.

[There's a soft thumping sound. One two three four. More of a thrum. The beat of wings and of drums and of his life.]

Randolph Lyall
18 May 2012 @ 05:36 pm
sixth; video
[The video is obviously accidental- for one, there's no way that Lyall could have turned it on, considering that he's currently a wolf. A very annoyed looking wolf, twisting around to see if his wings are still in place.

They are. He looks adorable with them, though their continued presence seems to annoy him further. What does he have to do to get rid of them? He can't go out in public like this.]

Klavier Gavin
18 May 2012 @ 05:40 pm
[video]
[Klavier is just a little bit uncomfortable with this latest virus…er…growth…clearly wearing a shirt over them is not only unflattering but awkward so he’s opting to go without…

…but that’s not the problem…

Actually by comparison his little wings aren’t so bad, except the tiny feathers very much resemble the tail feathers on a peacock…

…still, Klavier has his face buried in his hands looking particularly disconcerted.]

I don’t think this is going to do anything to dispel that bondage-turkey image.

Alice Liddell
18 May 2012 @ 05:43 pm
[Video]
[You see Alice, still in her greyish clothes. She's in front of a full length mirror in her room, trying to get a better look at her back, where there is a pair of small butterfly wings.]

This is certainly something different...

[She sighs and goes back to straightening some books on her self, just thinking that the wings is a hallucination. That was until some children, with numbered tags hanging around their necks, walk by the open a pause to stare.]

What's that on your back?

[That surprises Alice and she turns to them.]

Wha?

On your back. It looks like a big butterfly is sitting there!

It's nothing. [She hurries over to the door.] You're seeing things.

But I saw it too! [Another child said.]

You're both seeing things, now shoo! [And she closes the door on them, and what happened sinks in quickly.]

They saw them... Then that means. [She looks to where her journal is and the video cuts off there.]

Roze Thomas
18 May 2012 @ 05:54 pm

[It looks like somebody else found that clothes and wings don't go well together. Still, Roze decided to compromise and had a button on gown turned backwards. Behind her, purple wings of varying light stretches out her.]

I was wondering if anyone had found a way to hide these until they go away.

Kashiwazaki Sena
18 May 2012 @ 06:07 pm

[The wings themselves are beautiful and that's why Sena's conflicted. While the rainbow colors are amazing, it isn't the kind of thing you go out into public with. Was the white backless dress convenient or dress up?] Are these suppose to actually fly? Somebody needs to find out.

Zelgadiss Graywords (Human)
18 May 2012 @ 06:11 pm
[Video]
[Zel is examining his wings with the aid of a mirror. Predictably, because even in generic fantasy universe men don't usually have backless shirts, he isn't wearing one. He doesn't seem to have noticed that his computer's recording.

At first glance, his wings look like simple pigeon's wings, and about to scale with a pigeon, too, these plain gray things. But then he shifts a little and the light glints off them like they're made of metal. As if he's expecting them to be sharp, he tests the edge with a finger, but it just slips along the side, revealing them to be solid rather than covered in separate feathers.]

Very lifelike, but a little unexpected. Wonder if it means anything.

[the first thing that can be seen on the feed is a hand, moving away from the keyboard after having switched on the webcam]

[most of the rest of the video is taken up by a young girl-- she's standing with her back to the camera, and is close enough that all that can be really seen are her wings (colorful; very funky-looking and patchworked), and a few snatches of blonde hair]

[not much of the room she's in is visible, but if anyone looks closely, it's clearly a girl's cluttered bedroom: clothes, accessories, some toys, a guitar lying on a large semicircled windowseat]

[she stands still for a few seconds, then takes a shaky breath and speaks]

Okay.

I believe you now.

Pretty Butterfly
18 May 2012 @ 07:26 pm
[Video]
[Butterfly has managed to work around her wings by the expedient of putting her top on backwards, for lack of any better option. Said wings seem to be dull yellow butterfly wings with an oddly ragged edge and a brightly colored pattern on them. She flutters them a little, and a breeze out of all proportion to the movement ruffles her hair.]

Well, these are... very strange. I seem to have weather-butterfly wings. Perhaps it would be best for me to stay indoors today so I don't do too many odd things to the weather. People will ask questions.

This could have come at a better time, to be honest. We're supposed to be making plans today - I think we're finally going to be making our move soon. Two Fire Herb won't be happy about me missing the planning session, but when I have to wear my shirt backwards because I have mysteriously acquired wings is not a good time to be wandering around in public.

Aya Fujimiya
18 May 2012 @ 07:39 pm
Video
[Everyone is treated to a nice shirtless image of Aya's back with a set of wings. Anyone can see the terrible scars that litter his pale skin as he tosses water on to his face from the sink in the bathroom. So far he hasn't noticed that the community has captured his image from a source that isn't the computer.

Rising up to his full height, he grabs a hair tie and studies his reflection in the bathroom mirror before heading out.

He'll respond later when he sees this has recorded.]

[ooc: Sorry the pic is small!]

Jak
18 May 2012 @ 07:56 pm
[Video]
[Here is a Jak. Here is a Jak examining his wings. One wing seems to be more a set of tendrils in a winglike shape, glowing blue-white, and the other is made of floating, intricate structures of bronze-colored metal, lined with odd symbols (were anybody obsessive enough to take a picture and somehow had the resources to translate them, they would read "h-e-r-o").]

Well, this is... new. It's like the most harmless virus ever. All it seems to be is awkward.

Then again, I guess I'm used to having wings.

[Have one Ken Hidaka. It's not all that unusual of a sight, if one doesn't count the black wings curled just along his shoulders. Poor boy hasn't been able to get a shirt on all day thanks to the new appendages, so it's left all his scars very visible.]

Cute. Real cute. I'd love to know the next time I won't be able to go in to work. A little advance notice, you know. A day. Two or three would be even better.

Castiel
18 May 2012 @ 09:23 pm
[ stalker community video + text; IC-ly dated at around 3am ]
[ the video feed starts, and although Castiel is clearly awake and in front of his phone, face furrowed in concentration, it's immediately obvious that the video isn't intentional. in fact, he has no idea the community's currently spying on him posting. wherever he is, the room is dark, marking it as the middle of the night; but as your eyes adjust, you might notice details: cheap-looking wallpaper, messed, unruly bedsheets, a yellow arc on the wall where the glow of a streetlight from outside is coming through a gap in the curtains. Cas himself is, perhaps unsettlingly, out of his trenchcoat for once, and even the suit has been discarded; instead, he's in a loose t-shirt. even more unsettlingly, he's clearly just woken up only minutes before, and he looks shattered.

oh, and there's a pair of small, feathery wings just visible coming out from his shoulder blades. if your eyesight's really good, you might be able to notice the ends of the feathers look singed.

there's nothing audible but the sound of keys being pressed; he pauses once to yawn slightly, then looks incredibly annoyed with himself and goes back to typing. ]

I don't have much else better to do right now, so I may as well update about the current situation here. The demon Crowley managed to track down Death not so long after I left the hospital. Dean met with him, as a matter of fact. Apparently he was treated to pizza and was able to convince the Horseman not to destroy Chicago. Regardless, he was somehow able to convince Death to part with his ring, which leaves us with all four Horsemen's rings and thus the key to Lucifer's cage. ... However, the only plan we have right now is Sam's and... frankly, it's crazy. I don't think any of us would choose it if time weren't so increasingly short. But at the same time, I think it's the best chance we have right now.

Though I maintain that doesn't mean I have to like it.

While I'm here. Do any of you have advice for ways to prevent sleep? I lost patience with it several nights ago.

[ feel free to call him out on the fact that he's conspicuously not mentioning the virus and looks like he should be asking for ways to up his hours of shut-eye, not reduce them. ]

[Look at you all with fluffy and colorful tiny wings, Once-ler would love to have those. Sadly, the community decided that he deserved to have wings with axe blades instead of fluffy feathers. He looks pained when he finally speaks.]

C-can someone help me to wraps those somehow? There's no one else here, I can't reach properly and well...

However, as she takes her seat you might notice that she too has been gifted with a set of wings. She looks mildly annoyed at their presence before addressing the camera.]

I have taken notice that many others of the community have found themselves winged. I am curious to see how the wings differ from person to person and if so, do the wings have any particular meaning. If anyone has insight on the matter I would be interested to hear.

[ and for a long moment, nothing at all seems to settle. and for a longer moment, nothing at all seems to pause. flickering in-and-out of existence. a broken up series of half-images. half-scenes. mangled and indiscernible. static interruptions. before what seems to fade and snow in is only a deeply reflective wall. metal, perhaps. before what seems to scramble in, is the figure of a rather usual figure, without the sprawl of a pristine bed. this time, awake. more alert. seated upon a bench, somewhere, as the feed displays his profile. as something, deep within the belly of this place, continues to hum on.

and there's a deep quiet in the way his mantle lays across his lap. a deep silence in the way his shoulders seem to rest without the weight of it. a strong level, and he does not seem to regard whatever records him in any fashion, though the wings that rest solemnly against his back shift from time to time. the uniform he wears, carefully manipulated to free them. and though they are not too large, they are familiar. somehow. they hold the shape of the bird who once rested beside him. that once spoke beside him, as he slept on. a strange and quiet albatross.

Oh ha ha. This is cute. The community thought it would be funny to give me glass wings with raw edges! Ruined one of my favorite blouses. Couldn't it at least give me a pair of glass wings with sanded or beveled edges so I don't cut through everything? The feathers on these things are as sharp as daggers.

I hope other people are enjoying this little surprise virus.
