[A bathroom mirror comes slightly into focus, a faint reflection visible. Once the steam clears, it becomes clear it's Marti, though she's full dressed and seems to only be about to brush her teeth when she notices.]

[Darkness. In community time, it seems like only a few seconds but when it turns back on, Marti is on the couch, books in her lap. Something causes her to look up. Immediately, the books drop as she moves to turn it off. ]

I'm losing to a computer. Great, just the boost I need.

[Black again. Next time, seconds later again, she appears, this time standing in front of it.]

Okay, so, I'm being stalked by a pushy computer who wants to play therapist. So, here's for the sharing and caring...

I have the cheerleader audition today. It's normal to be nervous, right? Right. People are nervous. [She begins to pace.] Especially when something as big as a scholarship is on the line. By the way, thanks again Wanda.

[A deep breath and then she stops.] So, I shared. Your turn. Any tips for a girl who's about to try out for the cheerleading for the first time at a college level?

Alcohol's not an option.

Usually, no, but I need the scholarship. So, I'll be going against a lot of girls who've done this before.

Yeah. Or, well, for the cheerleading team that gives the scholarship.

A scholarship for being on the team means you're getting paid to be on the team. It's a job interview, basically.

Whoa, I didn't say I liked cheerleading. [But she's already insulted one cheerleader lately.] Does that mean you know a thing or two about it?

Of corpse! Well, it's still my first year, but Cleo's a really intense captain.

Show me some moves? I know it's a lot to ask, but I have a lot ridding on this.

Sure! I have a couple things the community's already posted, anyway.

All I could say right now is practice, practice, practice. After all, it helps out if you know what you're doing.

It also helps if you have a bit of confidence going into this thing, hoping you come out victorious. [He'll pause a bit, tilting his head in thought.] ...that, or you could sabotage the other girls.

...As for practice, it's kinda short notice. I've done gymnastics so that should help.

[She'll laugh at the last part.] I'll burn the pom poms, then they'll be powerless.

Ehehe, I knew I wasn't going to die in the first place. I've been through worse before.

I dunno, you could always slip in some thing here and there- that'll probably help out too.

And if it comes down to it- just slip something in their drink; they'll never know. Pom poms burning is secondary.

I can't really resort to sabotage. I can do the flips, it's everything else I'm worried about.

I'm not really sure about cheerleading, but whenever I try to do something difficult I find it best to go over my motivation instead of focusing on the individual steps. If you already know it well enough, that should work out for you I think?
