We sit him down and talk his ears off. He'll be so embarrassed he'll never want to go running off into danger again.

Ya really think something like that'll work? I mean, it's not like he'll just stop, and even if he would, I bet danger would somehow just find him.

.. I guess. [ She sighs. ] The more that guy's out of danger, the better. Or he should at least let other people help for once.

He's got a few people backing him. He should let them help once in a while.

But he doesn't, that's the annoying part!

[ She's offered to help him so many times. So many times, and.. yet, he's never let her. He always turns her away, saying that she can't help if she can't see them. Kyouko understands the logic in it, but it still annoys her. She wants to protect him, after all. ]

He needs an intervention.

Well, maybe if you'll keep insisting then maybe he'll listen in the end.. you're his family, after all. I'm just someone he knows on here.

Don't remind me. I like Takashi a lot but it's still weird to think that I have a relative that actually wants to talk to me.

What do ya mean? Your family doesn't talk to ya?

I really never knew my parents.

[They either left or died. She's not sure which. Her sensibilities say that they left her but she can't prove it.] My distant relatives don't keep in touch. I live with some old neighbors.

Geez, that sounds crappy! Why would you not even know your own parents, family's meant to stick together!

[ Even if it ended up.. slightly.. bad.. in her own case.. ]

Don't really know. The family I'm with really doesn't want to talk about it.

Then force 'em to talk, or find something that tells you, or.. ya can't just be okay with it and move on!

I'm not okay with it. They probably left me--that's not something I'm alright with. I just can't say something like that in public. If it were just me on the community I wouldn't care.

There wouldn't be any point to it. If they didn't want me then I don't want anything to do with them. It's simple, really.

[She's just not sure she wants to know for certain. That, maybe, it wasn't their fault.]

.. I think there's something wrong with doing nothing though. Or maybe just with not knowing anything.. I wouldn't be able to stand it.

There are just things a person doesn't want to know... some questions that maybe shouldn't be answered.

[ Some questions, huh.. it makes her think back of that thing they maybe should have never found out, about the true nature of witches. How desperate Mami had been back then, how she was about to kill them all.. ]

Even so.. I want to know. Even if it's bad, I want to know. I don't wanna be left in the dark. Ignorance can hurt people too.

[She doesn't want to find out that her parents had an accident or if they really didn't want to leave her but had no choice. It's better if she believes they just wanted to get rid of her...]

Guess it just makes more sense to me if they wanted to abandon me. I couldn't blame them for not wanting to have a kid that saw things that no one else could.

No, no, no, that hits way too close to home. Even though it's been well over a year - and then some added time with how time loops over in their world - she still hasn't forgotten how mad her father got at her just for being able to use magic that other people couldn't do, for seeing the witches people couldn't see, how he called her a witch and completely rejected her -- and Reiko says she'd be okay with that? Her stomach turns. ]

What kinda nonsense are ya throwing around here?! Family should accept family no matter what..!

[She couldn't blame them if that happened. After all Reiko pushed away other humans for that reason. It'd be bad if they got teased or shoved aside just because of her. That's why she'd swear up and down that Takashi was a normal guy. He shouldn't have to suffer because of what she did.

Understanding something doesn't make it easier to accept. It hurts, like an injury that heals wrong--as if there's something stuck in it. Humans were like that. Only Takashi and the youkai even bother remembering her in the future. All her family thought she was crazy, a relative to forget. Who wanted to be associated with someone that probably was cursed, crazy, or both?

Humans...they were like that.]

They should. They really should--but humans aren't like that. They hate what they can't explain, don't want to be around what they don't understand. If my parents were like that I couldn't be surprised.

[Takashi was the only human who would remember her. Who would even try to understand her.]

That's why I hate humans.
