you know what's even cuter? the King of Knights dressed in a near-identical outfit - or at the very least, the hat and cape - right next to her.

the two seem to be hiding behind a wall; it's not clear what they're saying to each other, but Saber seems rather put out by the clothing arrangements, and the little girl seems to be insisting that they are completely necessary. after a moment, Saber seems to (reluctantly) agree. a few moments more of Saber talking, and Nanako nods enthusiastically before darting off over to the other end of the wall, light-up toy held out in front of her.

Saber is left alone to peer out intently around the corner of the wall, eyes narrowed in the manner of someone deliberately watching something in particular.

after a few minutes of this, she suddenly moves back from the wall and dives into the nearest bush without warning.

uh. make of this eccentric behaviour what you will, community...? ]

[ It's a good thing she knows Saber isn't the type to joke around. Because that sounds like something she would have said while being deadpan as always.. ]

And he doesn't happen to be some sort of magical animal whisperer, right?

He has never shown signs of such before, but he is a rather unusual young man. It really wouldn't surprise me.

Maybe he just secretly lives some really weird kind of life. .. Either way, if he's the type who would be sensitive about people stalking him or something, you might want to be careful about this whole deal.

You make a valid point. I suppose I shall see if I can't catch him for a conversation when he arrives home tonight, however late that may be.

[ It's probably just a case of something extremely weird going on. She guesses that, at least, since her world is full of cases with extremely weird things happening.. ]

[ .. Ah, the awkward question. She was hoping it wouldn't come up, and yet here it is.. and she would feel bad for lying to Saber since she's been fairly kind to her, but on the other hand, it's not like she can just say "I just watched my parents murder out the rest of my family and my aunt who I actually thought killed everyone and hated tried to stop them and save everyone and then I was ripped apart again", huh. Where's the emergency plan when she needs it. It's hard to just think up something with how little she cares about.. well, anything at all lately. ]

I don't really know how to put it. [ So she'll at least admit that. ] Things have been pretty.. [ a moment of hesitation before it goes on ] .. busy.

[ she does not want to pry if it's something Ange doesn't want to talk about, but she can't help being concerned. even through text, the girl sounds... troubled.

[ There's a moment where she ponders it. Whether to say it or not. And if so, how to put it. It's clear Saber missed what happened.. so it doesn't matter if she told her, right? She already told everyone else.

One of the witches in my world decided to play a fun game with me. My family died twelve years ago and I've been trying to figure out who did that to them all this time. But she showed me how my parents killed everyone in cold blood.. and she said that was the truth of all those years ago.

[ she's almost too shocked to reply for a while. shocked, and full of questions. but-- Ange didn't have to share this with her. for now, it's Saber's role to listen, not question her further about something painful. ]

Ange... I'm so sorry. To think that anyone would choose to reveal such information to you for pleasure... it's nothing short of despicable.

[ She stares at the text. Somehow, despite her decisions that she's already made, it's still almost a little relieving to see someone actually feeling sorry for her, just like a few others on the community. If only she could have had that more in her life, huh.. ]

You still died, Ange! I could never think of the death of another person as something that was "no big deal".

... how did you even manage to return to life?

Well, technically Saber has a point. Ange would flip out if anyone close to her died or something like that - heck, that's what she's been doing all her life. But even so, she never expected anyone to care as much in return. Maybe that's why she's trying to dismiss it. ]

Battler onii-chan revived me. Or.. well, put me back together, rather. You get the idea.
