They did. How many people told you the military was dangerous and you shouldn't get involved?! Even Gran and Sensei told us, growing up! We were trying to protect you. I was trying to protect you, and you're never going to forgive me for it!

Life is dangerous, Al! Mom and Dad knew that before they left Rezembool. I knew Ed could've been turned into a Human Weapon - I did know that! But the military was dangerous for you guys - it wasn't dangerous for me until -

I said before, life is dangerous. Why did the Ishbalans blow up the Rezembool train station? Rezembool didn't do anything to them, just supplied the wool for military uniforms. How many people got hurt - killed! - in that explosion?
