[ Ah, Starbucks. Open until about 1AM, it's a great place to work and be fueled on caffeine while working. Maybe you're here for a study group, maybe you just want to be out of the dorm while working, maybe there was a fire alarm and instead of standing out in the cold you decided to go here, maybe you want to annoy your friends while they try to study, or maybe you just want to try the latest holiday blend! Whatever you're here for, this is a nice place to look smart and productive while indulging in your favorite hot drink. ]

[ Surprise, surprise, Kaguya is actually working. Catch her

(A) ...when she's at the register. Take as looooonggg as you want to decide what drink you want.
(B) ...when she's wiping down tables. Hope you didn't spill something on your lap. Or maybe you did on purpose.
(C) ...when it's almost one AM, when Starbucks closes on this campus. You're probably the last person here and she is really just waiting for you to hurry up, pack up your things, and leave so she can clean up.
(D) ...when OH NO THERE IS AN ARMED ROBBERY AND KAGUYA IS BEING HELD AT GUNPOINT or something...!
(E) ...when she's on her break. Look at that venti extra-bold blend of coffee. She's typing away at something on her computer. It's not homework, whatever it is. ]

(gilgamesh you are the worst.) she is literally dragging her feet and she looks pretty awful; half-dressed and dishevelled. after ordering a drink, she sits down in the chair across from battler to wait for it to be made, and drops her head onto the table with a heavy thunk.

... wait, someone else is sitting there too. she barely even noticed.

[ Yes, Ange is actually working! Even though she's usually not really doing this in public, somehow she gets better ideas while she's out here, so she's just typing away. It's rare to see her this motivated, either way, usually it's more like a 'guess this is necessary' kind of deal.. but today she's writing a children's story for one of her classes, apparently she does like doing that for some reason.

But you know, it's not like Ange is allowed to be productive. So feel free to harass her. ]

[Albus has a pile of books with him that are almost tall enough to hude his head if you look at him from the wrong angle. He's scribbling notes at a frenzies pace, copying out of a thick history textbook. The only times he pauses are to sip at his venti latte, giving him a little caffeine jolt.]

[Guess who has taken up most of a table in the corner? Yeap! Ferb. He has a few books piled up, but mostly to lean against. What is taking up the majority of the table are several rolls of blue print paper and a small model of a broom. Yeah, a bit weird but he can make this work easily.

He stops every so often to take a drink from an iced coffee but mostly he's working rather steadily.]

[Having bought her usual coffee, Vanessa spotted Ferb and quietly made her way over to where he had set up. For a minute or two she just looks over what he's got spread over the table and sips at her coffee. Finally she speaks up.]

[Having just gotten off work himself, one could find classic lit student and active kendo club member Diarmuid alone at a table. In front of him was a copy of the most recent assigned reading he was eager to get through, beside a simple cup of tea. His attention for the moment, however, seemed to be focused on an unfolded letter in his hand. Whatever it might have said, he didn't look entirely thrilled. Quietly folding the letter and putting it into a shirt pocket, he adjusted his glasses and went about with the reading he'd come here to do.]

[Kirei's just passing through, really. An extravagant looking frappe, minus the whipped cream, with a scone. And a tea, just lemon in it, in the little cardboard container next to them. It looks mismatched. He spies Lancer as he's on the way out the door. One of the Lit students. Knows Saber. And Archer, of course. He looks focused on something. A reading, probably.

It wouldn't hurt to metaphorically poke him, would it?]

[It wasn't common, but not unheard of, for Yuri to be occupying one of the tables in here. It was too cold for her to sit outside, however, and they don't allow beverages in the library. So there she was, using one hand to hold the book she was reading (a small paperback about flowers - not required reading, but studying on the side never hurt) and the other to occasionally take a sip from her tea.]

Close to the corner, nearest to the exit. It doesn't appear his idea at all to be here. (Shoulders curved. Arms crossed loosely and legs tucked under the chair. Wrapped in an overlong coat and heavy scarf. Face almost hidden, beneath the shadow his hat casts.)

It doesn't appear his idea, at all. (But, he seems to be waiting. Nonetheless. Seems to be waiting. Even so. For a face or a call, familar. For the clearing of books, stacked neatly and nameless. For the coming of some presence to wake him from drifting. The monstrosity of some coffee beside him, mostly untouched. Mostly mismatched, to the stillness he projects. Mostly mismatched, to the lack of warmth he conveys, despite warmth around him. Dimmed lights and muted clothing. The fainter redness that rests against his skin. And the cause is -- )

But, he is reading. Quietly. He is reading, mutely. Though his eyes barely move to follow the lines, there is an occasional shift from his pause. The occasional turn of a page with gloved fingers, weather-worn.

It does not look his idea, at all, but he remains here. Regardless. ]

[He picked a seat by the exit. That may have been a mistake. But Kirei takes in the bundled up person, all the same. The coffee's gonna get cold. He shouldn't delay too long. He already spent some time talking to Lancer.

[Rose is at a table with a cup of mocha, a history book and a journal which she is writing in. Even though she does teach an undergrad class, she still has her own course she has to worry about. In fact, she has a big paper due at the end of the semester, thus why she is taking notes in a journal. Nothing like come caffeine to help keep her going.]
