Tanabata!

It's the day of the Tanabata Festival, and Yayoi is fielding traffic to and fro from the Mysterious Library and meeting people who are coming in with their own worldhops. You may see some of her teammates around including a fairy named Pop around today, but for the purpose of it, everything is funtimes!

There's a lot of people around and arriving at the front gates of the festival grounds, there's a ton of stuff to do, such as fish catching, food vendors and other assorted games. Have a ball and mingle. Because tonight, the Smile Precure are in for the fight of their lives.

Pegasus Day is upon us as well, since Marchenland celebrates the same occasion on the same day. So try not to ride the Pop!Pegasus around too much.

[Yuri's staring at her wish slip. There isn't anything written and she looks thoughtful. Looks like she hasn't decided on a wish yet.]

Hm, yes. I'm not really sure what I should be wishing for. I had the same problem back during the ski-trip.

Are you having trouble too?

I am... I don't want to wish for something petty like money or good grades, and I don't really need to wish for luck with love at this point, so all the common ones are out. [There's a dusting of color on her cheeks, but she hides it decently.]

Is it presumptuous of me to wish that I can be of help to Tsubomi and Erika?

Hm... [The love part makes Yuri pause for a moment, but she smiles.] Is that so now? This wouldn't happen to have anything to do with a certain string and the person on the other end, would it?

No, I don't think it is. There's nothing wrong with wanting to help. Wishing to have the means to is understandable.

It just might. I take it you've heard already, then?

[Itsuki smiles.] I've already got the means. I just need the strength. A weak savior isn't much help.

[She tries and fails to suppress a giggle.] I guess that's true... I never really made a secret of it. Yes, I think I have to thank the community, this time. I truly got what I wanted.

...Do you really think so? It's not like I've had a chance to show off what I can do yet.

Well, congratulations, in any case. It's nice that something good came out of that virus, at least. [Some nervous laughter there.]

I've seen plenty already to get a clear idea, trust me. But I think you're thinking of the wrong kind of strength.

I'd heard that you had gotten the short end of the stick on this one; I won't ask. But thank you, seriously. It means a lot.

[A beat.] Is strength of character really that important? I know physical strength isn't enough alone, but...

It's alright, it's hardly a secret. It was just a little... awkward. [A little?] Not in the least because I was tied to two people at once.

Physical strength is very much important, don't get me wrong. But the strength of your heart is even more important. The powers of a Precure are directly tied to it, from my experience.

[sunbloom]

Uh-oh. That sounds like it was hard...

Strength of heart, huh...? Let's hope everything goes okay, then. Either way, I'll need some work before I'll really be able to help Blossom and Marine.

[The girl looks down at the slip of paper, still blank, with a sigh.]

It was embarrassing for all three of us, really. Kendrix-san is a very nice person, so that wasn't so bad. But... the other person... [Yuri adjusts her glasses and her face seems to go oddly dark. Looks like someone didn't enjoy the shipping~]

I can't exactly judge a lot before you've actually transformed, but... I get the feeling you will be fine.

Hm. [Yuri also looks at her paper. It wasn't like a Tanabata wish had that much impact, but still...] Maybe I should just wish for something simple.

[sunbloom]

Um. I think I just won't ask after all. [Yuri's face is getting a little scary...]

I hope you're right. I'm going to do my best, regardless.

That's an option, but... look at where we are. There's probably at least some magic in this place, so it's entirely possible these will come true; to say nothing of Marchenland observing this day, too. So I don't want to waste it.

Possibly. It's good to give it a lot of thought, of course. I'm not sure if any of my wishes would be possible, even with magic, but... maybe you'll have more luck with that.

[After a moment, Itsuki smiles softly.] I just don't know what I'd want to wish for. Everything I wanted, I have.

[And after another bit of consideration, she picks up a pen and bends to address the paper: I wish for my friends to be happy.]

Heh... That's a nice problem to have. [Yuri glances at Itsuki's paper and smiles.] That's a nice wish. Let's hope it comes true, hm?

That is... my sincerest hope. If I'm the only person that's happy, I'm not really happy. It's a little hard to explain, but... it's how I feel.
