It's the day of the Tanabata Festival, and Yayoi is fielding traffic to and fro from the Mysterious Library and meeting people who are coming in with their own worldhops. You may see some of her teammates around including a fairy named Pop around today, but for the purpose of it, everything is funtimes!

There's a lot of people around and arriving at the front gates of the festival grounds, there's a ton of stuff to do, such as fish catching, food vendors and other assorted games. Have a ball and mingle. Because tonight, the Smile Precure are in for the fight of their lives.

Pegasus Day is upon us as well, since Marchenland celebrates the same occasion on the same day. So try not to ride the Pop!Pegasus around too much.

Well... it's a story of separated lovers, basically. I... don't actually remember all of it, but Orihime and Hikoboshi were two people - well, deities, I guess - that were in love with each other. But because they were so focused on each other that they ignored their work, they were separated by a great river. The night sky symbolizes that, too; Altair and Vega are separated by the Milky Way.

But one day each summer, they're allowed to meet, on the seventh day of the seventh month. That day is honored as Tanabata, and we make wishes to better ourselves. [Kanade is pointedly not looking at her wish on the tree.]

[Ha, what a stupid tale. It perfectly signified why love was such a useless thing. Why care so much for something that got in the way of what was actually important?

Mm, of course. I think it's poetic, but it's an important reminder. Just because you have an important job to do, doesn't mean you should shun everything else. Even gods aren't immune to that.

[At Setsuna's question, she lets out a soft squeak, then begins to push her fingers together nervously.] W-well... I just wanted to get along better with someone that's important to me. We've been fighting a lot, and I want us to be friends again.

No, I... [There's something poking her about all this... Kanade seems to be lost in thought for a while, but after a bit something clicks and she jolts out of it.]

No, that's not it. She and I have been friends for years. It's just that I tend to get a bit jealous, and I'm argumentative, especially with her.
