How do you make somebody happy when they're convinced that they don't deserve it, probably because there are some people out there who want them to believe that?

You are not. You're proud to be stickin' by him no matter what anyone says, ain't you? Puff out your chest a little and defy me with some sass, why don't you? You're willing to go attack a guy for giving him some shit, the least you can do for me is put a little heart into it.

I. *takes deep breath* I... I hate the things you say, Greed-san! All you do is make things worse, and when people try to stand up to you you deny it! Issei isn't any of the things you said, and believing that he's not doesn't make me immature or annoying!

You tease everybody and you never apologize and you say that trying to be a good person is worse than giving up and embracing the bad things, and... and I think he believes those horrible things you say about him!

If he was gonna "embrace the bad things," he'd have to have a bad trait or two to embrace. He'd have to do somethin' bad.

You think anything he's done's bad?

No. You do.

You don't think the kid's ever done nothin' bad the whole time you've known him.

But, what if he decides he has and wants to change to "be a better person", thinks of his own past him as bad? You gonna argue with him like you do everyone else who calls him on his shit?

I'll tell him that he isn't a bad person, I mean, if he wants to change, I can't make him not change, but he shouldn't just because people like you think there's something wrong with him.

Do you even want him to change to be more confident? Or d'you think he's perfect there, too?

I want him to be happy. He doesn't even believe that he's worth that and I can't convince him otherwise.

Tried gettin' mad at him? Tellin' him what a pain it is for the guy you're so up on to be so down on himself? That it's what gets you down?

That guy's probably your number one community headache. I see you worryin' about him more than I ever see you talkin' about problems you got on your own. Make him take responsibility a little bit.
