Well, mostly it's taken care of through potions. Cure magic is common enough to learn, but it takes some skill. Someone who's just learned magic isn't going to be able to use it until maybe a few months into training, and that's for basic healing--cuts and bruises.
It's a mix. Most medicine in our world is via medical professionals, doctors and nursing staff. Although there's some rare cases when witches such as Miyafuji have healing magic.
Although those cases are a lot more rare, and I've only known of one Romangna Unit who has a healer anywhere close to Miyafuji's level of healing power. Although she has difficulty controlling it.
Magic, magic-enhanced technology, knowledge of local herbology and anatomy, using the essence of death in order to regain life, plucking feathers off magic birds, et cetera. You can do a lot on my world!
Mm... mostly the same as most other Earths, I think. Some Puella Magi can use healing magic, but I'm not really sure how that works, and well... it's not the sort of thing just anyone can do, so it probably doesn't count.
